I finally got a chance to visit the SF store for the first time. I wasn't expecting to see anything special since some have called it "the store with nothing" or expecting good service. Guess what... I saw 3 Kellys on the shelf - one 25cm black with GH, one 32cm retourne evergrain biscuit with GH and one interesting version with 2 zippered pockets on the front, black leather flap and black cloth body. I also met a very nice male SA who took the time to explain how they were made and showed me the biscuit Kelly. Ah... so dreamy. Although I wasn't looking for a Kelly in the brown color family, I was starting to fall in love with it and having visions of what I'd wear... Definitely going back in March :wlae:

ooooooh nice to know they have something out on display. That probably means they have stock in the "back" as well. I'll be there the end of next month for my annual SF shopping pilgrimage.

No I am looking for a Sellier Kelly for more of a formal look. Got 3 weddings to attend this year... I had to exercise quite a bit of self control because there was also a lovely Kelly wallet in dark brown that I asked the SA to show me. I was very surprised with the service I got because I was carrying my Coach which is my rainy-day bag. Although the SA didn't tell me anything I don't already know, he was just so nice to talk to and absolutely adorable! Good thing the store is closed today...

^ The SAs usually don't care what bag you use. All that matters is whether or not you buy.

Why I remember spotting some customers at another boutique, carry their paper bag groceries to the store. I did a double take but the SA didn't even bat an eyelash. Now that's service.

Isn't that great, unnecessary snobbery is a vile trait and sadly too readily given out by some designer stores.
