I have saved up for my first non-mini bag and for me that HAS to be an LV. I have always lusted over the neverfull and tried the MM size in monogram last year and loved it - but now that I’ve saved for it I can’t help but wonder… as someone who has never been a tote girlie, would I really reach for this bag? Was this just a huge trend when I was a teen (now 30) and that’s why I wanted this bag?? I love fashion and wearing mini cross body bags but am keen for something bigger for more of a daily bag that I can carry more around in instead of switching mini bags all the time - but am I really going to carry around a neverfull? I can’t believe I’m questioning it but I don’t know if I can see myself doing that?! I’ve seen influencers with their noe bb bags and they look so classic and chic while still being a practical size and the ability of wearing cross body is a plus to me!

I know neverfull has a good resell value but that’s not what I’m in the market for. I recently had a baby and would love to hand this special purchase down to her one day!

For reference I am 5’9 and average size - hoping the noe bb wouldn’t be too small. Unfortunately I can’t go in and try the bag.

Would absolutely love to hear from people who own either or both these bags - would love your weigh ins on which you think I should go for.

I own the noe bb in damier azur and love it, it is one of my most used bags. I am a relatively tall man at 6'0" and don't think it is too small on my frame, so it should work for you as well. As far as size goes...do you have an idea what you'd like to be able to fit/carry comfortably in this medium sized bag you're seeking? That might help us all advise you better. I don't carry much, so the noe bb is perfect for me, I love wearing it crossbody because getting things in and out of it is a breeze with the cinched opening on top. With that said, despite it being 'open', you can tie the laces however you like, so it can be more cinched and secure, whereas I feel like a neverfull is just a giant open bag - a pickpockets dream. I have learned that I am definitely more of a crossbody bag person than a tote person, I own two LV totes and reach for my noe bb or petit noe much more often. I feel like totes can be hard to keep on your shoulder at times and require you to fidget with the straps every so often, whereas crossbody bags are carefree. I know this is an unpopular opinion here on TPF, but I also feel that the neverfull is a bit played out and oversaturated at this point, you yourself said they were popular when you were a teen. However, with that said, I think everyone should wear what makes them happy and ignore trends!

Thank you for such a thorough reply and for your height reference!! I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I certainly wouldn’t be carrying around enough to fill a tote - small wallet, key holder, some makeup items (in a small case), my phone, possibly a small water bottle - and then of course I’m sure whatever little bits and pieces end up in there while I’m running out the door - but being that I usually use mini bags, I know I won’t be carrying around LOADS but do want the option for a small water bottle and a few more pieces than I would be able to carry in a small bag. I think the jump to the neverfull seems drastic to me and I absolutely know what you’re talking about re: fiddling with the strap - I particularly think I would be doing that a lot given I’d be carrying a baby periodically while holding my new bag (hello cross body convenience!).

Thank you again!!!

@J_Lurker No worries whatsoever, I know what it is like not having a store nearby. It can be hard to visualize how a bag will or won't work for you based solely on photos! Clearly I'm bored today, because I took a couple photos to show you that a water bottle fits  I don't have an organizer for this bag, but I believe they make ones that have a spot to hold a water bottle. Believe it or not, the red Supreme bottle holds 2oz more than the green Yeti, they're just shaped differently and the Yeti is more insulated. This is an 18oz Yeti water bottle, which would be a tad too large and stick out the top, but the 0.6L Sigg/Supreme bottle would fit with plenty of room for your other goodies. Tying the noe lace like I have it (once the leather softens a bit), it allows you to easily reach into the bag without having to untie it completely, and then you simply tug on the shorter end of the lace to cinch your bag again. With some practice this can be done one-handed, perfect for when you've got a little one on your other arm!

This is so helpful!!! I feel like given the shape of the bag you could still fit plenty around that right?!

How do you find the vachetta? Do you feel like you have to be super precious with it or just generally mindful?

@J_Lurker yes, there would be plenty of room left for your phone, wallet, key holder, & small makeup case for sure. I also have a petit noe, which is a larger sized bag and a shoulder carry, and I struggle to find enough stuff to fill it, I think the bb is the perfect size. I've done pretty well with all the vachetta, although admittedly I did treat it all with apple garde when I first got it (a somewhat controversial topic here on TPF). Despite that, I've still made a couple marks here and there, mostly on the small trim of vachetta at the top of the bag, but thats life and its not noticeable. The current model of the noe bb they are selling in stores has feet on it now, which I personally wouldn't be a fan of, but would probably help keep the large vachetta base clean.

I believe the OP wants the Noé BB, which is quite a bit smaller than what @Monogramboy has, correct? So I'm not sure if that's what you're wanting as far as comparison goes. I have the Noé GM and although it's significantly bigger than the BB, I know the shape and handle of the bag is a huge plus for me. I love it, and I always wear the strap on its shortest length. I could probably wear it at its longest length crossbody, but it's just too big in my opinion.

I voted for the NF MM because I think with a newborn, you'll really appreciate the tote style and extra room. Trust me, you'll need it with a baby/toddler. Good luck with your decision.

I do own a petit noe in black multicolor, but my damier azur noe is the bb size. I took some more pics today to show what fits.

I had to use my phone to take the photos, so I have an old phone case for size reference.

Definitely a bit fuller than I usually have it but a standard sized sunglasses case, 0.6L Sigg water bottle, cosmetics bag, larger sized multicolor pochette cles, epi pocket organizer, phone (case), and mini keepall.

I’ve voted for the NF, because hands down, this is the bag that I would keep if I only could have one LV! It’s so multifunctional (you can use it in any situation), versatile (use the tote as is, cinch it down for a smaller bag or just use the pouch as a clutch), fits anything you need (incl. a laptop), and has much less vacchetta, making it much more carefree for me personally. That’s why I have five of them (and will definitely add a sixth one some day):giggle: I’m a tote (and not really bucket bag) person though.
Each way you go, it’s a classic that would never go out of style and hold its value. Good luck deciding!

Based on what you wrote, I vote for the Noe BB. It's a great medium size bag that can also be worn crossbody. I have both the Noe BB and the Neo Noe in my avatar. I find that they are around the same size. I have owned the NF twice. I did enjoy it when my kids were younger, however, when I repurchased it to just use as a tote, I never reached for it. I also didn't like how common they were.

OH wow, I thought the BB was a lot smaller. I'm surprised it's as big as you show. My bad, thought yours was bigger.
