First Prada... Yay or Nay?

While LV is my first love, I have considered looking elsewhere (at least just this once). For one, I'm a little turned off by paying so much for a purse that is barely leather.

I basically want a decent-sized bag that's not stiff. I've tried it on in the store, but am torn between this and getting another LV.

Any thoughts? Do you own it? If so, do you have pics?:tup::tdown:

I don't own this bag, but I think it's gorgeous. I believe that you will enjoy it. :tup:

I definitely prefer leather bags. I understand your frustration with LV canvas. I refuse to buy a canvas logo bag of any kind.

I also like to vary my collection...not too many bags from 1 designer. I do have quite a few pradas though...they just seem to click with me. you might really enjoy having a bag from another designer.

those are my thoughts. hope that you're happy with whatever you decide.

There are lots of pics and chatter about this bag...I LOVE it...!!!!!! I am so in love with that blonde madore leather..just stunning..my advice to you is order it!..and you can always send it back if you don't like it...I have to do that all the time to actually see what the bags look like and on me b/c there is no good shopping where I live..If you get this report back girl!!!

Yes this is a pretty bag and will make a great first Prada :yes: Prada leather is beautiful and I always feel it's refreshingly different from the LV canvas (I love LV but Prada is...different!)

Whoa! I think I've hopped over to the Prada side!

I had gone to Neiman's a couple of times (2 different stores) to view the purse. However, the last time I went, I had a few questions for the SA.

My MAJOR question was if it came with a box. Her answer was "NO," and that it only came with a dustbag. So, I was a little turned off by that. Total deal breaker. But I see you DID get a box! Did you order direct from Prada? The closest Prada boutique for me would be LA or even Las Vegas.

I just feel like my purse would be "naked" without the box.

It's very, very, very, VERY rare to get a Prada box, even at a Prada Boutique. Hardly a valid reason to scratch the designer off your list though.

I am lucky to have a Prada box...I got it from the PRada boutique in Hawaii a few months ago when I ordered a couple of bags...the PRada boxes ARE the best boxes...they are a purple blue...so heavy and well made..with actual hardware on them.....the one I got I swear you could store a wedding gown in..I kept it b/c OMG how could I through something like this out?!?! I do agree with the others though...buying a bag should not be influenced by whether or not you get the box or not..
