:graucho::graucho: I've been trying to decide which MK silhouette would be my very first…. It was a difficult decision but I decided the Hamilton felt the most 'me':

I feel this may be the beginning of a lovely relationship :D

Two questions for more experienced MK ladies:

Do you use Apple Guard or any protectant on the saffiano leather? Does the key fob get in the way if you leave it on the handle? I have a suspicion I should take it off and store it in the dust bag when I'm carrying the bag.

You made a great color choice. Saffiano is pretty durable without any protection at all but if your worried, go right ahead and protect her just to be safe. The key fob does tend to slide around if you use your shoulder strap but you can always just connect it to the metal ring your handle is attached to. She is a beauty!

I put the key in one of the pockets, I just thought it looked cleaner without it. I do take off the lock sometimes so I like to keep it with the bag.
I have 3 saffiano bags & didn't protect them, it's really durable & wiped clean easily.

Congratulations on your first MK bag and your first Hamilton. I don't use anything on saffiano leather except a leather cleaner when it gets dirty and leather conditioner once a season. I'm also a bit of an outlier, but I hate when the key fob slides along the bag handle and don't like tying it to the D ring of the handle because then it gets in the way of the handles folding flat. I attached a small key ring to the D ring of the handle and then attached my key fob to the small key ring (leaving it tied around the bag handle) so that it doesn't slide down the bag handles when the bag handles are down. Pretty anal, I know, but it works for me. :D

Such a beautiful color! Welcome to your new addiction! lol! That doesn't go away, ever! MK has so many wonderful styles and colors. Have you seen his shoes yet?? OMG! Enjoy your new bag!

Saffiano leather is very durable and does not require any protectant. Your bag is very pretty! :love: That color is just so gorgeous! Enjoy your Hamilton.

By the way, you should always keep your key fob with your bag. I sometimes open the lock and release the belt to expand the bag when necessary. (putting the lock back on the bare hook) You won't be able to do that if you leave your key fob at home in the dust bag. :smile1:
