Since this is the first Michael Kors bag for this Marc Jacobs girl, I thought I'd give you a show :graucho: The complete story behind my latest unexpected purchase.

I 've been on an unintended ban for about a year which I just realized yesterday lol. Honestly not too many bags have caught my interest and I kept myself distracted by traveling heavily this year. Marc Jacobs was my first designer love but he hasn't been tugging at my heart strings for a while. Every time I visited Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc. online...I've had the same reaction to his latest line offerings:shucks:.

And then, one beautiful day. I woke up from my designer bag depression when I saw Michael Kors unique line of purses :cloud9:

I immediately started imagining them all on my arm :hbeat: and started trying to narrow down my favorites although it was pretty difficult. :thinkin:

After much deliberation I decided on one style that was such a lovely color combo. It would really look amazing with the rose gold accented watch I was getting for Christmas. :presents

This weekend I was down in Miami for a wedding and decided to make a little stopover to my favorite mall. You know, just in case I saw something I liked. I went to Macy's first to check out their sale and was hounded by their sales team. I wish they'd get with the program and realize that most customers want some breathing room to browse and make decisions. I left after not finding anything amazing and had some lunch with the SO.

On a whim, I decided to go to Nordstrom quickly before we headed home to get ready for the wedding. As you know, they have their 40% off sale going on which was like a beacon drawing me in. I quickly headed straight to their bags section and scanned the sale items. They had the croc embossed grey satchel the was one of my early favorites. I truly considered purchasing this one even though it didn't make me giddy.

All the while, I remembered the satchel in Macy's I had seen earlier that was surprisingly too big. The color was so dreamy and beautiful though!!! :faint: I kept wishing they had a smaller sized version but knew it didn't exist.

I kept walking all around the bags section, trying to see if they had the Black hamilton with rose gold hardware available. Ralph the sales guy came over and was super sweet. He just introduced himself, and I asked if this is all they had for Michael Kors. He told me "Unfortunately yes" and walked away to let me continue browsing. I called my SO over to get his opinion on the grey bag and absentmindedly turned to my left.

:woot::nuts::wtf: Was I seriously looking at this beauty!?!? it exists!?!?! WTF I had NEVER EVER seen it online on any department store website or the Michael Kors site ( I still can't locate it now.) Dear lord it was real and sitting inches from my face. The small version of the bag I had drooled over for weeks and had been so sad to realize only an hour earlier that it was too large for me in its current version.

I don't typically buy brown bags but this I had to have. I love how the leather is burnished. It really lends an antique look to it :) The sales rep said it had just come in and has sold out quickly before so I was happy to snag the only one out there.

Has anyone ever seen this model before? I still cannot locate it online. Not that it matters since I already have it, but I'm kind of curious as to why I've never heard of it before. ::shrugs::
