First LV Bag ordered today! :)

I recently joined the LV fam with my first pre-loved piece which was the key pouch. It’s such a functional piece. I want to grow my collection but timing isn’t the greatest considering all of the price increases.

But today … I ordered my first LV Bag - I got an Alma BB in the DE. It’s my favorite print! I like how classic this bag is and the multiple ways to carry. Eventually I would like something in the empreinte leather…maybe a speedy ❤️

For those of you who have the Alma BB - do you have any fun straps you like to swap out or other ways to accessorize it? I was thinking of getting an adjustable thick strap from Etsy to switch into. I also have some chain straps which match the gold very well.

Anyway, excited to share her when she arrives!

Congrats on your Alma bb! It is such a classic, functional bag and one of my favorite styles. It is fun to accesorize with a charm or a bandeau personally I prefer to carry it handheld so I normally attach the adjustable strap from my boulogne in the shortest setting just in case I want to sling it over the shoulder to free up my hand. With a short strap it won't hang too low when carrying by the top handles. Here's how I dressed up my Alma bb with a tapage charm recently, I posted in another thread a couple of weeks ago.

Congrats on the Alma bb! It's such a classic. You can have your initials hot stamped on the key bell if you prefer. I love it so much that I have three, one in DE. My green epi one came with a guitar strap which I'm not fond of. I much prefer the thin leather strap that the DE came with.

Thank you! I thought about doing though as well! Do you know if they require that you purchase it straight through LV in order to get the hot stamp or is it something you can pop in the store to just pay for? I love that you have different style of the alma bc! Must be a good one then

You can pop into any LV store and get it hot stamped for free.

Oh super fun!! Thanks! You’re not going to believe this - the order got cancelled from Poshmark. Must’ve been a scam seller. I’ve ordered a lot of YSL authenticated there and have had pleasant experiences. Now I put in a bid on another Alma on eBay and hoping to hear from the seller it’s still hundreds less than retail price with authenticity guarantee. I’m also eyeing a speedy 25. I prefer the Alma as a forever bag but have thought about speedy since I am about to have baby #3 and all of my kids will be under the age of 5 I’m over carrying a ton of stuff in a diaper bag. I know the essentials that I actually need and I want to enjoy a bag if I’m stuck in big bag stage for another 1.5-2 years lol. At the same time, I really like the Alma more so I should prob stick with original want. I have a Ysl Lou Lou backpack as my bag to use with the littles for park and errands. What are your thoughts?

This is what is stopping me from getting those beautiful new colors! I’m not a fan of the guitar strap either and am waiting for some more spring ones to come out with the leather strap. I LOVEEEE the green you chose though!!

You have to play Tetris with the nano to get things in and out. The 20 would be the perfect size. I'm 5'4. Your best bet would be the alma bb or speedy 20.

Thank you! There are two alma bbs coming out in April with the thin leather straps. In June there will be three with the guitar straps. The two with the leather straps look to be a mauve/pink and a mint/turquoise.

Thank goodness that it got canceled and Poshmark caught it. I have the micro speedy charm, three nano speedys, and a speedy 20. The speedy 25 is bigger than I would like when I crossbody it. You have to play Tetris with the nano to get things in and out. The 20 would be the perfect size. I'm 5'4. Your best bet would be the alma bb or speedy 20.

You’re absolutely correct that the 20 is perfect. I’m 5’3. Haha and I like the Tetris reference for the nano - I could picture that lol! So I ordered a like-new speedy 25. I impulsively ordered it because it had 42 watchers on eBay with a good price - $400 less than retail, all original packaging and I have lost out on the good ones in the past. It has authenticity guarantee, responsive seller with 100% rating and solid amount of reviews. I think the 25 will be great for mom life but yes, if it was just me, I’d go for 20. I’ll update here when she arrives ❤️
