First luxury handbag... help!

Hey guys! This is my first post and I’m hoping you guys can help me, I’m very indecisive between these two bags, Prada cahier and LV my lock me bb.
Which one would you guys go with and why? Thinking maybe best investment, durability, etc.

I like the Prada better. Maybe because I don't like visible branding and LV has a logo that screams brand (and that's all there is to the bag, nothing else sparks interest). Also, I like the detailing on the Prada.

If it has to be between these two and while I prefer bags without obvious logos then the LV

LV holds value better than prada and aesthetically-speaking there's too much going on with the prada for my taste.

I believe the LV one is called the Twist. I prefer the LV one because of the minimal hardware detailing.

We bought the Lock Me BB for my son's GF last month in Paris. It's very cute, light weight and easy to carry. The Prada's metal edging is a bit much IMO.

I like the LV - more classic- looks like it will withhold the test of time. The hardware on the Prada, while beautiful, can get old after awhile. LV has better resell (not that you're planning to sell but taste changes). My only comment would be with the strap - are you comfortable with the chain metal strap? Chain straps bother me which is why I don't own a lot of Chanel. Both bags looks nice on you so buy the one that makes your heart sing!

IMO, indecision means put both back and keep looking. When you find the right bag, you'll stop dithering about it and buy.

Btwn these 2, the LV gets my vote and agree with someone else...this is the twist. I don’t know much about the Prada but the Epi leather on the twist is very durable and the overall look of the bag is a classic. I don’t sell any of my premier bags (buy to keep) but LV has better resell than Prada.

I would go to with the LV Twist. I’m not crazy about the Prada styling. And as other have said, Prada plummets in value.

Personally would pick the LV, IMHO it is more classic and will not be out of trend. Great with any outfits. And ditto on the value fact.

I would pick the lv one, very simple and elegant, it does not scream LV logo to me as it’s also a lock. To me, the Prada one is definitely a trendy piece for a few years.

While I do like the look of the Prada, I'd still not recommend it. It's a very trendy bag right now and I don't think it will stand the test of time, the trend is probably over sooner than later. And for your first luxury handbag, I don't think a trendy piece is something you'd want.

The LV on the other hand looks very classy and simple so it will never really go out of style. Also LV is a classic brand that always holds its value.

If it hadn't been for the prada logo, the prada would've been a nicer pick, but it's too busy looking the way it is now. The twist is probably not going anywhere anytime soon as LV just renewed their contract with Nicolas and is pretty neutral looking. I don't think you can go wrong with the LV.
