First Fendi, Huge disappointment

I've seen this bag in person and it's beautiful. In fact when I fist saw at the store it did look like Karung, it's only when it I held it that I realised it was sequence.

It's beautiful. Enjoy it.
I’m not sure if the one you saw in store actually had colored sequins or if it was printed fabric with clear sequins on top but mine looks completely different from the website. They are checking to see if others came out the same way as mine and will get back to me by next week so let’s see.

The website photos you shared does seem to show colored sequins, and as @880 said it's not unheard of to create bags with that technique. Please let us know what the outcome is.

UPDATE:
I received a message from Fendi’s messenger stating:

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion caused.

Upon investigation, we found a slight variance in the sequin color. The description on our website indeed states green, white, and brown sequins, which is unfortunately incorrect. The sequins on our actual stock are transparent, designed to highlight the natural markings of karung leather.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and want to assure you that the quality of the product remains uncompromised.

If you have any further inquiries, we would be happy to invite you to visit your nearest Fendi Boutique, where our team will be ready to assist you.

Best regards,
Angeline

I’m not sure what the nearest Fendi boutique can do and I’m sure they won’t even be aware of this issue or the message exchanges I’ve had with Fendi but I will try to visit a nearby boutique this week and see what can be done about it.

Although the wording in email is very lightweight, it does clearly acknowledge that the item is not as described, so show it to the boutique manager/ess and ask for a full refund.

I will go to a Fendi Boutique tomorrow and see what they can do. Also an additional update: the original woman at Fendi I spoke to over the phone had stated she would get back to me via email by Tuesday and she did not. I have her cell number so I sent her a message telling her how very disappointed I am with this.
It’s very disappointing that I have an item that’s not as described from a “luxury” brand but it’s also disappointing how they are handling this when they clearly can tell that the item on the website is not the same as the actual item produced. I’m seriously going to stick to French brands after this. Chanel and Louis Vuitton have always been very accommodating especially Louis Vuitton. I’m very disappointed in not just the product but Fendi as a brand. First and last Fendi purchase.

UPDATE: Because I am not located in the same country as my boyfriend (he is in the U.S. and I am in South Korea) I went to a nearby Fendi and explained the situation. They were very understanding and said they would personally expedite this matter to Fendi Korea’s HQ and find a solution. The current solutions they offered is to contact Korea’s HQ and get approval to 1. Try and locate the same bag pictured on the website and change the bag. 2. Offer an exchange for a bag in the same price.
I believe Fendi Korea will resolve this issue and the manager even followed up with me within hours of my visit to update me that she had contacted Fendi Korea HQ. Fingers crossed!

So Fendi Korea tried to resolve the issue but was told that since they’re under Fendi Kong Kong they couldn’t help. So I told them that my boyfriend has to file a claim with his credit card company within a certain time and they advised me to go ahead and do it.
Also, now the Fendi website no longer shows the bag and the description of the bag has been removed.

I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this - it’s very clearly a bait and switch. I really hope that your boyfriend’s credit card company comes through for you. Super shady on Fendi’s part, on many levels…

I find that so many designer sales people are just not honest and I hate it.
I bought a Fendi peekaboo in turquoise when the Tiffany x Fendi collab came out because I was unable to get the baguette. I specifically asked the sales person if the peekaboo was also part of the collab and she assured me it was. However, when I contacted Fendi directly to confirm, they said it was not part of the collab , only the baguette was.
I still like the bag but it did remove some of my enjoyment of it.
Frankly, Fendi should have been honest about your bag from the beginning and made it right for you immediately.
