First ever Birkin for Mom!

So after a few years of saving up I finally got my mom her first orange box... Just in time for Christmas. Hope she will like it!

I chose two different twillies for a splash of colors. But I heard if your hands perspire too much the silk will melt and stick on the handles?!

Here it is! Toile and gold Epsom 30 with ghw... I've been looking for a toile combi as the leather ones are too heavy for her.

Now the tough part is waiting till Christmas to give it to her!

Just by the beautiful handles, I can tell it is a keeper!
That is an interesting point made about the twillys on the handles. I don't put twillys on my birkin, but others can chime in. I doubt the pigment from the silks would bleed onto them, but since I have no experience with this, I am interested to know the answer to your question as well.

First off this is absolutely the sweetest thing. U saved for years & instead of buying yourself something u gifted ur mom with a beautiful bag!

As for the twilly problem u mentioned-I've never had this happen & I live in a humid, hot climate & have never had an issue at all.
