Hi all,
Apologies to those who may have seen me post frequently in here as of late…First, I didn’t know if I wanted a VCA or a Cartier piece; then I knew I wanted a Cartier necklace and again posted asking for advice choosing; now I’m here second-guessing myself.

This will be my first Cartier piece; I’m celebrating many things and have saved up! I am stuck between the 2 diamond Love necklace (flat circle with 2 chains) or the baby Love / interlocking rings chain bracelet. (I prefer chain bracelets to cuffs or bangles and disliked the JUC, so this bracelet is the best option rather than any Love bracelets)

Both pieces would be near-24/7 pieces for me—I don’t intend on removing often, and want a simple, elegant everyday piece. I feel that I will get equal wear out of both.

I do feel like I am “missing” a bracelet in my wardrobe. I have several necklaces but not many bracelets. However, I also worry that maybe that’s because I’m less of a bracelet person than I think I am? I know that if I get the necklace I’ll wear it all the time even though I have many already. With bracelets, I’d obviously wear this if I bought it but I feel less sure about my personal style when it comes to bracelets if that makes sense. I just…feel like the necklace is a safer option because I know I’ll style it well, but I worry about regretting it because I’ve been saying “oh i have no bracelets, i have no bracelets”.

(Budget wise, I only am getting one thing, so buying both isn’t an option really. I did calculate that getting a Trinity cord bracelet in addition to the interlockig rings bracelet is roughly the same price as getting just the necklace, so perhaps that’s a solution? I also considered rings, but I rarely wear them and want something more substantial for my first piece. )

I’m just on the fence! I would love input from anyone who’s had a similarly tough decision or from anyone who feels strongly about one design or the other. My friends think the baby love rings on the bracelet are cuter, while I find the necklace design more unique, etc

Hi! You sound just like me :D. I am also a necklace person.
If this is your first piece I suggest get the necklace because you will wear it for sure and get the most use out of it. Its cool to wear a Cartier 24/7. For many people the love bangle is the 2/7 piece. But for us necklace lovers, its the necklace! Mine is Trinity necklace and diamant legers :). If you still want the bracelet maybe you can buy a cheap bracelet first and wear it 24/7 and see how you feel.
Good luck! :)

Like you, i realised i am just not a cuff or bangle person. I only buy soft chain, bracelets.

Opposite from you, i am more of a bracelet person at the moment. However, after selling all my WG necklace, i still end up buying one as i feel a gap in my collection and sometimes i do want something to fill the emptiness in my neck area. But as i am less of a necklace person, most of my high valye pieces are bracelets, and i only have 2 necklaces (1 YG 1 WG) thats all i allow myself, to be able to switch up and these pieces must be very versatile to match everything. Classic neutral color pieces (not like turqouise or pink etc that are harder to match)

I guess if you dont have any FJ necklaces, then defi go with Cartier necklace.

It really depends on your personal preference and how much you've tried or played around with wearing different categories of jewelry.

I really got into fine jewelry rings and then into bracelets/bangles.
There was a point when I thought I was "missing" necklaces in my collection.
However, I realized that am very much not a necklace person. I don't even bother to look, much less think about, what to wear around my neck 99% of the time. Most of my necklaces sit in my jewelry box unused (fortunately most of them are costume jewelry and not fine jewelry lol). The only one I wear and never take of is my Tiffany DBTY solitaire diamond necklace, which has definitely satisfied all my requirements (and gotten my cost per wear) and I feel no need to buy an fine jewelry necklaces.

Go with what makes your heart sing! Not what you think you "should have" in your collection. I'm sure when you come across the perfect bracelet, you will know in your heart that it is the one!

Good luck and happy shopping!

I'd go for the LOVE bangle. You can't lose with that as your first piece. It was my first Cartier piece and it's what I always wanted (since the late 80's when I was living in NYC). I finally got my first LOVE in 2008 from my husband, but eventually it broke (long story).

Let us know what you decide.

I'd start with a bracelet (as I did lol)
I've never been a bangle girl either until I tried on Love and Juc, because they're oval shaped and you can get smaller sizes they work for me. Typically bangles are a universal size and are too big.

Some mod shots!! I bought this necklace to stack with my nameplate necklace but wanted to block that one out just to be safe haha  i LOVE the 2 diamond love, it layers so perfectly and I love how it hits as a choker!

It looks beautiful on you! Mine fits even tighter since I have a fat neck lol. But I actually like how it fits and as long as I can fit my two fingers in the chain, I'm good lol.
