Bella, I actually just got back from "visiting" them at Saks. I'm still not sure. The only brown cocker they have is very worn, so I guess they'd have to find it from another store. The black one is in much better shape. I'm still torn. I don't know.... I wonder if that's a sign that I should pass????
Don't impulse buy a BV. They are such wonderful bags that they deserve someone who will love them. And you deserve a bag you love.
Look to see what it looks like in brown v. the black. Think about it. The bag is not going to be discontinued anytime soon (knock on wood)

I agree Vintage - what threw me is the wear on the edges of the cocker's pockets. I thought the deerskin was supposed to wear so well, but it looked kinda bad.
my gut is telling me black. But everyone I've asked thinks this would look better in the brown. If I need a black bag, is a BV "not" the way to go?
The non-weave part of the Cocker is made of deerskin while the weave is still nappa (lamb). But am surprised at such a condition for a bag still in store.
