Finally a setting for my smokey quartz!!!

I have had a beautiful smokey quartz stone just waiting for the perfect setting and finally last month I found what I wanted. I love the cushion cut stone and it is so pretty set in platinum and diamonds. I am very happy with the result!!!

Thank you all so much!!! I wish I could have taken the pics in natural light. My bathroom lighting is kind of yellow and did not do the ring justice. It truly is a chameleon as you said ahertz. It can be truly dark and smokey or light and opague depending on the lighting.

I have been telling DH that I need to upgrade the center stone in my wedding set to a 3.5ct + diamond so that my right hand isn't upstaging my left hand. In reality, I don't know that I would want to do that. Right now I have an D color, VVS1and doing that quality in over a 3.5 ct diamond would break the bank. My diamond has definitely shrunk since the quartz was set. Funny how that happens!
