FYI.....Received email from ebay today. Unless you have an Ebay store, effective 11-6-2014, the maximum per item ($2500 & over) will increase from $250 to $750. It would appear the message to high end sellers is clear...set up a store or move on. Between Paypal & Ebay, it is becoming hard to keep up with all these changes...and:cursing: with so little notice.

What does setting up a store entail?

Wow. This just seems so wrong. Thats 30%! Some consignment places charge less! Plus the paypal fee's that just insane.

From my understanding - correct me of I'm wrong - FVF is staying the same, ie, clothing is 10%. It's just the maximum that's changed. eBay used to charge a flat $250 whether you sold a $2500 bag or a $8000 bag. Now it will vary, $250 for $2500, $350 for $3500, etc

I'm sorry I meant that - going by what the OP stated that the new maximum that has gone from $250 for a $2500 sold item - to $750 for a $2500 sold item.

I'm basing the 30% on the $2500 - which would make the new maximum fee 30% off the sale of a $2500 bag.

Now if the $750 max fee only applies to say an item that sells for $7500 and up. Then that would make more sense.
