HI guys!!
I was wondering about Filson Luggage, as I'm eyeing one of the totes.
I'm planning on doing a lot of traveling in the next couple of years and I've noticed how sturdy the totes sound and look, especially for a bag I could just pile random things in when I need to and don't have to worry about tearing or over-loading the bag.
The tote was also featured in luckymag I think a while ago, as a must-have. But I was wondering if it doesn't look feminine enough? I like the fact that it's paraffin coated canvas, but I'm not really sure what that does besides acting as reinforcement?

anyway, are there any owners out there?

the tote itself is 105 (I think), on ebags, and that's kinda high for canvas, even though the straps are leather...

opinions?
much appreciated!

Filson's has great quality items and their totes/messenger bags hold up really well. I have a small one that I used to death and it's still going strong. My friend has the medium messenger and the laptop back and it has also held up. In fact, the more it's used, the better it looks.

thank you!! I appreciate it!

My boyfriend owns a LOT of Filson products but when it comes to his bags he buys from Duluth Pack they have a lot of options to choose from and are made in the US and guaranteed for life. They are very nice quality! He's kinda been transitioning away from Filson as a lot of their products aren't made in the US anymore and people have had more quality issues than in the past. We were very happy to learn about Duluth Pack though and find the prices are quite reasonable for the quality you are getting.

Your welcome :smile1: I know some of Filson's products are still made in the US but not all of them. They are also cheapening the quality of some things, like their belts, my boyfriend was recently shopping all over for the old style belts as the new replacements he won't buy. Another cool thing about Duluth Pack is all the colors to choose from.

I own Filson luggage that I bought many years ago and it is still in excellent condition. The zipper on one bag broke once but otherwise I have never had any problems with Filson. They are built to take all the abuse you can dish out (or at least they were at the time I got mine). I didn't know about the recent quality issues because I bought mine a long time ago.
