Fiancée's first pair of CL

Hello!

I would like to thank everyone here for sharing their experience.
Keeping a secret from the significant other is pretty hard. I am super excited and hope to the higher power that the size is right. Her size in Guess and Steve Madden are US 8. I purchased size 38.5 Pigalle Follies 100mm in black kid leather.
She is currently in South America and I will be flying over during the Christmas holidays. So, another thing on my mind is if TSA will be an issue having these in my carry-on luggage...long sharp object...or would it be better to put them in the check-in luggage?
Here is a comparison between a size 35 Pigalle 120 (from 2013 bought randomly) compared to the Follies 100 in size 38.5 (they are actually 110mm in height).

Beautiful! I'm sure she will love them. You can't go wrong with a pair of classic black CL's

I frequently travel with 4 and 5 inch heels and I always put them in my carry-on. I've never had any issues on domestic or international flights.

Yeah you should be fine with them in your carry-on luggage. I travel with mine all the time.

You will be fine to have them in your carry on. I've carried various heel heights and spike pairs without any problems. I think you made a good estimate on the size. You sound like a keeper for sure! Good luck and keep us posted.

Carry them on!!!! My wife insists on it!

Never ever had a problem. Plus you don't want them stolen out of your checked bags.

Are you sure those are 100mm pigalle follies? they look 120mm to me and the sizing may be way off. I wear a 7.5-8 in Steve Madden, Jeffrey Campbell and other American shoe brands but then a 36-36.5 in CL 😁

They are not far off from 120mm. They measure at 110mm for the 100mm Follies.

I forgot to mention that I did not get any trouble from airport security through multiple airports with them in the carry-on. Thank you, all!
