Ferragamo Men's Wallet

Hi, I'm a guy and this is my first luxury purchase so I'm quite anxious. I've been eyeing this Ferragamo Gancini wallet for a long time now but haven't had the guts to pull the trigger yet. I am hoping to get some comments from fellow tPF members if your husband/SO has had this wallet before and it's durability since this will most likely be my workhorse wallet for a really long time. Also, is there any difference between buying in boutiques vs online stores?

I can’t speak for the men’s wallets but assume that the quality is the same as the women’s. Ferragamo has spectacular quality and I think it’ll be great for everyday use. The people that I’ve known that have Ferragamo items have used them for years and still use them. I think they’re quite durable and would definitely recommend it.

There’s really not that much difference buying from the boutique vs the online store except maybe for the experience. Also if you were in the store, the sales assistant would probably suggest other wallets as well.

I like Ferragamo too. Their quality is very good. I have bought online and in the store. The transactions were all okay. I looked at that wallet that you are talking about (I think their site states that it is hammered leather) but preferred to get the regular smooth calf leather as a present. It is classy, elegant, and has excellent quality. The receiver loved it.

I gave my husband that same wallet in the blue (which is soo beautiful in person) for Christmas, and he loves it. It's too early to say how long it will last, but it is a beautiful, substantial wallet. I definitely think it is worth the investment. The grain in the leather makes it strong and scratch resistant.
