I have a different buckle, also in gold, and no it doesn't scratch that easily. I've had it for 4 years and I have scraped it again many surfaces, including sharp metal corners (by accident of course) and even then, the very small faint scratches are barely visible even when I shine a torch on it. Perhaps it's a different material or coating? Maybe you should ask your SA at the boutique...

Oh I see, sorry to hear that. The good news is once you have enough scratches, the individual ones won’t stand out as much. I also notice some buckles (other brands) scratch more easily than others
