I've recently started grad school, and my Celine belt bag isn't cutting it for my everyday school bag (notebooks, tablet, no laptop). It's too much of a pain to deal with the opening/closing, and the length of the strap makes it where the bag is constantly bouncing against my hip when I'm walking. I feel like my hips are eventually going to dent the bag due to the stiff nature of the leather.

Wanted to get everyone's thoughts on getting a medium Fendi Peekaboo vs medium Ferragamo studio for my everyday school bag. I will be throwing the bag around and probably mistreating it, so any input on durability and wear/tear for these two bags is appreciated. They both don't seem to be stiff or structured bags which is a plus for me for convenience.

I'm a sucker for the Peekaboos, so I vote for the Peekaboo.
I'm assuming you've seen both of the bags in person and I am also assuming that both the bags will hold everything you need.
With that, it seems like the Ferragamo's leather is more pebbled, therefore I think it would wear better for you to throw around. It seems more supple too.
The Peekaboo seems more structured, but the top opening seems more convenient. Some taller items can also just stick out of the bag if needed.
Fendi's leather looks smoother, so more prone to scratches, but my smooth leather Fendi bags are wearing beautifully. I still think the Ferragamo's leather would wear better though due to the pebbled nature of the leather.
In terms of style, I think it just comes down to personal taste.

Thanks for your input. It seems like the Studio bag would be more functional for my use. It’s good to know your Fendi bags are still wearing well though

I have seen both in real life and I love them both.
If I needed one, I would choose the Studio bag for the reasons Sunshine mama mentioned in her post ( pebbled leather being less prone to scratches in particular) .
On the other hand, I think the Peekaboo is more expensive ;)

Because of the way the Peekaboo is shaped and structured, I'd suggest the Studio bag. I really love the Studio bag and I've seen it many colours - I imagine I'll add one to my collection eventually.

I have a medium Peekaboo and because of the opening, its difficult to get large items in/out of with ease, or at all. I think this is because of the shape of the bag and also the inner divider is quite restrictive, meaning that once one side is full, it takes away space from the other side (which then makes it more difficult to get in and out of). The whole weight of the bag also hangs on this divider/metal rod inside the bag, so I don't think it would be great for throwing around. I had to take my mini in for repair because I popped one of the stitches by over stuffing it.

My advice would be to either get the Studio bag or a classic leather tote like the YSL shopper or any other similar bag.

Hope this helps!
