Fendi Peekaboo Mini or Essentially?

Hi!
I hope I’ve not created a redundant thread but I cannot find a similar thread.
I’ve been wanting a Fendi Peekaboo mini for a while and have finally decided to take the plunge. I went into my local Fendi store today to try them on and fell in love with the cleaner lines of the Essentially, it’s also slightly larger which is great.
Which one do you prefer? Does anyone have both?

I think they are both awesome. I own the men's Peekaboo which is modeled after the original women's version, but they have the X-Lite men's versions which are modeled after the Essentially which I would love to own as well. I like them both the same.

Since you're saying that the Essentially is a bit larger and you like the clean lines, then I suggest getting that. It sounds like you may prefer that one slightly more.

I have the original version but in the micro size. But if I were to add the next size up, I would definitely go with the essentially for the same reason you mentioned. The minimalist/clean lines look that much better! Gorgeous bag in either iteration, you can’t go wrong.

Thanks! I’m going to the store again today and will try both bags on. There are so many things I love about the Essentially - the size, the clean lines, the contrast colour interior. The only thing is, it's a few hundred dollars more expensive. This bag retails for $5600AUD in Australia and for that money, I could buy a small Chanel Gabrielle, which is another bag I've been eyeing for a while......

In this case, definitely essentially. The silver hardware looks more elegant against that beautiful blue. The gold is kind of a mismatch in my opinion.

I was in Heathrow 2 weeks ago and I saw the new essentially and I also love the size of this version. However I do own two of the mini peekaboo style and I have to say that I personally prefer the look of this version due to the stitching underneath the closure. The sales associate said that a lot of people say that and it seems that people either prefer one to the other. You do seem to favour the essentially so I would go with your initial instinct and choose that one. I also agree that the silver hardware looks so much better with this beautiful shade of blue.

I vote for the peekaboo iconic mini. It is feminine, playful and elegant. The essentially is modern, masculine and rational. Too clean imo.
