Hi all -

Years ago I purchased a medium 2jours bag (my first luxury bag actually) - it was a really different stage in my life and the bag was perfect for the corporate work setting. It was lightly used at the time and has sat gathering dust since then.

I'd like to dust it off and bring it back into rotation, except my life is very different now and I no longer work in a corporate setting. the bag is a little too "formal" for me now and wonder if the bag will slouch over time?

TLDR: Long time owners/users of the fendi 2jours (back when the sides were saffiano leather), how has your bag worn and does that saffiano leather soften?

[I know I could sell it but it doesn't have good resale value and is a little bit sentimental.]

Thank you!

I say use it regardless of whether or not you work in a corporate or formal environment. It's a beautiful bag that I think would make even jeans and a white tee look sharp. I don't personally accessorize my bags but I've seen alot of posts lately with people adding various bag charms, different straps, scarves, etc. to their bags. Maybe that could be a way for you to change the look and dress it down a bit? Just curious, which color is it?

it's a black - so it feels super corporate looking. It was around that time when everyone was buying the YSL and the Prada bags in the similar silhouettes (sac de jour and the saffiano top handle respectively). I'm tempted to use it and just hope it relaxes over time.

Definitely use it. I like the suggestion to accessorize it to make it more casual. Some of the pictures of bag accessories on this forum have totally inspired me to do the same!

Even using it as-is will be better than it collecting dust.

Not gonna lie, I occasionally choose a particular accessory first (bag, earrings, necklace, shoes, whatever), and then pick clothes to match. Maybe if you carry your bag again you will find yourself choosing slightly more formal outfits to match. :)

Gosh, I’m so happy that you posted this because I have the same exact dilemma, except I have the large 2jours. I bought this bag in Miami upon getting a promotion at work and thought for sure it’d be my everyday bag! It’s sadly sitting in my closet and for the same reasons of poor resell and sentimental reasons, I can’t give it away.

I love the ideas of adding charms and whatnot to dress it down. Did you ever bring the bag back out to use?!
