Did you try to exchange it immediately 3 years ago or just now? I cannot imagine that they would exchange a 3 year old bag for smell? Anything could have happened in the 3 years to cause it. Coffee does work to remove odors. My friend is an airline pilot and they use the coffee when people throw up to help neutralize the smell.
My favorite DE is the same. It has this wet cloth smell. Not sure if is from the canvas or the lining. I have the same bag in Mono and that didn’t smell. My new GM Ring Agenda that I just got have a similar smell but less strong. I am debating if I should return the agenda. For the favorite I soaked in mild soap water today and hanging it dry. Since there’s no vachetta so I don’t mind. Just need to make sure is fully dry.

I had the same problem with the LV pochette Felicie 2020. I went to the LV Store and they switched my old one to the newer model.
So if you have this problem, you can try it also!

My DE FÉLICIE POCHETTE that I purchased before COVID has also a bad smell. I never even wore the bag not even once. it’s been in my closet all that time with all my other bags and SLGs but none of my others bags have any smell. I took out Felicie not that long ago to try to sell it but after being shocked w that smell I don’t even know what to do w it now
Hello! I had the same problem and went to the LV Store yesterday. They replaced my old one, with the newer model.

I have a giant logo zippy that smells so bad, I bought in 2020 I thought it was some kind of disinfectant that they use on the bags to prevent Covid and I use it for a week and it just wasn’t for me and I put it away and it’s still smells. I’ve had it airing out for two months and it still smells,I don’t know what to do with it. I don’t shop at the Louis Vuitton by me anymore because it has the worst customer service. But I am curious to what they would say.

I had same bad smell when I purchased the felicie pochette I think the smell came from the materials that they use I’ve also have same with my multipochette the smell actually puts me off from carrying it in case people near me can smell it! They were purchased around the same period just before covid time. I contacted Louis to exchange the bag because I got too busy and I didn’t end up going to the boutique to exchange it.
