Favorite MM red glazing problem

Hello everyone!
I am feeling a little disappointed and wanted some feedback from you all
Yesterday I picked up my brand new Favorite MM after stalking the website for weeks and finally managing to catch one. Upon inspection I see that the red glazing on the vachetta side tabs is cracked and is starting to split. Nothing major at this point, but this is a brand new bag so I am afraid that this problem will only get worse in time...

What do you think? Am I overreacting or is this a genuine problem that I should have them look into?
Another issue I have is that my nearest store is 4h away so I cannot just go in and have a quick word and to make things harder they also never answer the phone!

I am not sure how the Favorite is supposed to look but my Neverfull, for example, never had the thick red glazing of the Speedy and the handles have held up pretty well regardless. This part is a thin one and I would think it's OK to look the way it does. I am attaching a couple of pictures of no thick reg glazing soft handles that are just fine.
