Favorite leather for a gold kelly?

I want to add a Kelly 28 sallier to my wishlist. I would like a gold color but struggling to choose the leather! I prefer something other than Epsom. I tend to like leathers with some fine grain to it, so probably not swift. I've seen clemence on another Kelly and did not like it. I would also prefer a lighter leather.

If anyone has suggestions, or better yet some pictures, please share!

Are you doing a special order? Kelly sellier is usually offered in epsom. I think Togo or Chèvre would be stunning but they are usually SO.

Oh no :( I didn't know this. Sadly I haven't been offered a SO but will ask my SA about it. I love gold but I really want something other than epsom.

Kelly 28 sellier in Gold is really only available in Epsom, unless you could place a special order - and you'd have to place that order at a time when Gold chèvre is available, or when Togo sellier is available, AND in Gold.

Right now, even with an SO, this bag would sadly not be possible :hugs: You could do Caramel chèvre, I believe that is available for SO atm.

Swift and Clemence have not been available for sellier in years, and even then those also were SO only, so not an option anyway.

If you are open to Fauve Barenia, which is a somewhat similar color to Gold, Barenia K28 Sellier is in limited production; however it is a smooth leather.

I used to hate Epsom too, but my Epsom Kelly gold 32 has aged amazingly well over 7 years. It looks better now than when I got it! It’s durable and truly versatile. The only drawback is that if it gets scuffed, you can’t repair it. But it’s fairly difficult to scuff.

Even this is debatable. We’ve seen some amazing Epsom restoration results from the Hermes spa on tpf.

Maybe I should be more open to epsom, but I have one in black and want a dark brown own, so I want to diversify my leathers! Was chatting with my SA this week and she mentioned togo might be an option? Would that be just for a retourne style?
