Naomi Campbell made the most of out of her five-day community service in March (for assaulting her maid) – dressing so stylishly that photographs of her coming and going from the N.Y.C Sanitation Department turned into a fashion spread in W.




Paris Hilton left her signature girly frocks at home for a buttoned-up vest and blazer while attending court on her DUI charges in May.

After 23 days behind bars and surrounded by swarms of paparazzi, the heiress took back her freedom in a Petro Zillia blazer and jeans from her very own denim line while exiting jail.



Never one to abide by typical dress codes, Britney Spears turned up for a child custody court date in October in faded blue jeans and a T-shirt.

Another day, another court appointment: Spears arrived with some old standbys – her well-worn Kenneth Cole boots and trusty Versace purse.




Nicole Richie turned up with equally dapper boyfriend Joel Madden in a seriously chic black Moschino dress and Christian Louboutin pumps to face drunken driving charges in Los Angeles in August.
