Fantasizing about upgrading my wedding rings. Anyone else?

I would love to see everyone's dream rings, looking for ideas.

I am trying to narrow it down - I can't decide between an emerald cut with halo or radiant cut with halo. Or maybe no halo for the radiant.

My original ring is a round brilliant and I have a ten year anniversary 2.75 carat total emerald cut three stone. I also have a 2 carat emerald cut solitaire that is a family piece.

I love emerald cut (obviously) but I think I should branch out and try something different with this new ring? Because I also have a loose emerald cut sapphire that I need to set at some point.

Anyway, pros or cons for either style?

What size are you thinking about upgrading to? I feel that a diamond over 3 carats should stand alone with no halo so there is no distraction from its beauty.

Good point. Not even 100% sure about a halo - I'm basically trying to figure out radiant or emerald cut at this point.

What carat size are you going to get? Let's start there.

Probably in the 2-3 carat range. I don't think I could pull off anything bigger - in terms of overall style, I'm not sure I'm fancy enough for super bling lol. Probably 3 carat.

I originally wanted to have mine in a halo but decided on an east/west solitaire setting. It's unusual to see them set like this. When I first purchased it, it was north/west. I wear it as a solitaire now without the two side bands. Just an idea! It would look even more lovely with a larger stone!
