Fake Serial Numbers ??

Hi there!

It is my first post in this forum and I am not 100% sure if it fits to the topic. Please feel free to move or guide me otherwise. Can you help me to authenticate the Alexa bag? (I tried the authenticate topic, but the discussion is closed somehow). I am currently hesitating to transfer money to the seller and I asked him for more pictures of the dust bag and the serial number. But perhaps you are already able to say if it looks fake to you? He said his wife bought it in Copenhagen some time ago.

Million tons of thanks

I am not an authenticator, but I definitely would not pay any money for this (even if the seller hassles you to do so) until you have had this authenticated by one of the authenticators on this site. The thread you need to post on is

the first post in the thread tells you the format in which to post.

Just bought a Mulberry Mitzy Hobo which I believe is a fake. The serial number is 1259383. Can anyone confirm if I'm right please. I'm sure I am as I've had a Mitzy before and mine was heavier, the leather smelt like leather and the dustbag had a nice bright logo. This one has an awful smell to it. The inside popper fastener has tarnished and it's lighter weight. I spotted it on Ebay but buyer took out of auction early for me. I paid 225 via PayPal thankfully on my credit card so should get money back. Thanks all

It's worth adding to this thread the serial number alone does not necessarily condemn a bag as a fake. Potentially any of the numbers from this list were once on a genuine bag. Our amazing authentication team have spent many years studying and observing Mulberry designs, so if you are in any way unsure about a bag you are thinking to purchase, please list it for authentication.
