Fake Hermes on Amazon!

You can report it, but it's really hard to crack down on "inspired by" products, especially those sold at a low price point. It's my understanding that as long as the seller doesn't claim to be selling an authentic H product and doesn't use the Hermes name in marketing (which would be fraud), it's in a legal grey area. They would have to demonstrate copyright infringement, that the design was essentially the same as an H copyrighted design, which is a whole legal process.

This is also my understanding. They deliberately do not call this Hermes so they are in this gray area. If you check details I'm pretty sure these products will not have the Hermes engravings / tags / stamps on them. I would still try to report but I dunno if anything can come from it...

Reminded me...I was in Hawaii before COVID started (miss traveling!) and saw these being sold at a very famous tourist location (second photo has the place's name). No doubt in my mind what they are inspired by...but can Hermes actually do anything? Sadly I don't think so.

As long as they don’t claim is Hermes, and they don’t brand it Hermes, it is not a fake. Plus the prices show the sellers are not in the slightest suggesting this is even a comparable product.
The only thing would be for very recognizable products, whether there is an infringement of intelectual property.
Which is unilikely with bags like the GP, which at the end is a tote with two handles. I mean, Hermes did not sue LV when they launched the Alma, or Gucci when they launched the Jackie (or was it the other way round?) so they will probably let this be.

This trash is so annoying. But aren't we annoyed because we actually pay a very lot for this kind of things ? (and, let's not lie to ourselves, maybe don't want too many people to have them, like LV)
Also we shall not forget that they picture authentic belts and GPs, but the customer probably gets something much less accurate.
And I wonder why the blankets seem suddenly so fashionable ? I don't remember they were a few years ago.

Not surprised. I bought some replacement heads for my Philips electric toothbrush from Amazon and I think they're fake. Honestly I think branded stuffs sold on Amazon are fake unless you buy directly from the brand's store or from Amazon.
