I was searching something on amazon and there’s a sponsored ad popped out. The items look exactly like the Avalon blankets and the gp bag. I’m personally very annoyed to have seen this. Is this even legal?

I believe you can report the "store" selling these under fraud reporting.I was searching something on amazon and there’s a sponsored ad popped out. The items look exactly like the Avalon blankets and the gp bag. I’m personally very annoyed to have seen this. Is this even legal?

You can report it, but it's really hard to crack down on "inspired by" products, especially those sold at a low price point. It's my understanding that as long as the seller doesn't claim to be selling an authentic H product and doesn't use the Hermes name in marketing (which would be fraud), it's in a legal grey area. They would have to demonstrate copyright infringement, that the design was essentially the same as an H copyrighted design, which is a whole legal process.
I saw those there too! I was really surprised. This is also my understanding. They deliberately do not call this Hermes so they are in this gray area. If you check details I'm pretty sure these products will not have the Hermes engravings / tags / stamps on them. I would still try to report but I dunno if anything can come from it...
Reminded me...I was in Hawaii before COVID started (miss traveling!) and saw these being sold at a very famous tourist location (second photo has the place's name). No doubt in my mind what they are inspired by...but can Hermes actually do anything? Sadly I don't think so.
