Fair price for discontinued Favorite

Hi!

I called Louis Vuitton and the Favorite bag is discontinued. The last retail price was $1100 for the MM. the current price on Fashionphile is $2000 for a new or excellent condition Favorite MM. I understand it’s a business but I don’t want to spend almost $900 over retail. Any tips on how to get a better price?

I recently bought one from eBay for $975.00.I stalked for a week , researched the seller .The bag I got is in fantastic condition and definitely authentic.

I sold mine a while back. I would not pay over $1k for that bag in used condition. To be honest, I sold it because the canvas just didn’t feel that luxe to me after a while. Fashionphile and other reseller sites have gone bananas with their prices on popular bags. Your best bet would be to buy from an individual seller on eBay. Just keep looking out for it because when I want to actually sell a bag, I’ll price it reasonably.

If your concerned about authenticit, you can always purchase and take it to LV to ask how much they would charge to replace the metal plate....if it’s a fake bag, they’ll refuse to do it. If that’s the case, you can file a case with eBay and you’ll get your money back.
