i doubt it works with LV since it's canvas. but to check if leather is real you can run a lit lighter across it and if it doesn't burn it's real.

lol, i thought this trick was for Prada's nylon bags, they were advertising hardcore for their black messengers years ago, that their nylon will not burn at the speed of normal nylon. But i've never heard about LV, after all it is CANVAS!
