Facelift surgery

Hi,

It has beena while since my post.

I didn’t want to rush to post here with my progress until I have clear view on this topic.

I had beenback to Korea since my last post.

To cut the long story short - aculift wasn'tworkable(it could have worked on younger skin) but I had a fat graft oncheek area where it had become quite flat after facelift, and it is slightly bettersince.

Red scarsbehind ears are a lot better and can't see much of redness.

De-swellingcontinues even after 1year mark, and my face looks a lot more natural than itwasa year ago.

I had onesteroid injection on raised scars behind ears by the local surgeon, and it’sworking well and it has gone down a lot.

One side ofear is slightly pulled back at the bottom. I was told it would be ok after allsettled down but I am not holding my breath on that.

So it's alot of improvement after 1year. But would I do this again after been through allthis? My answer will be 50/50. Some partof my face has gotten better and younger, but I feel I have lost naturalbeauty and suffered quite a bit along the way.

However IfI start from the scratch, I would have out sought a reputable local surgeon who isspecialised in facelift instead of going all the way to Korea. The price savingdidn't justify for the travel cost and anxiety etc in my case.

Anyway for thosewho will choose to go through this path I wish all the best and lots of luck.

Look for good facelift PS in Thailand.
Give just as good results and cost only a fraction of Spore/Korea's price.

I did mine last year, extremely happy with it and will consider re-doing this in 5-8 year's time.

Hi agacci
Are you happy to share your surgeon's name? Please PM me if you wish to keep this confidential.
For it's not about saving money (for me) by going to Seoul. When done correctly those docs can really make one look younger.
I would rather not go to Seoul but the US, UK even Australian docs cannot strip back the years as effectively. The FL results on Asians are good but nothing to write home about.

I'm planning to undergo a macs lift next month to get rid of my nasolabial folds. Hateee them. I actually didn't notice them until someone pointed them out a few months ago when playing the age guessing game and then they started to bother me. Funny how that happens huh....

Anyways my concern is not the slanting of the lower lid which tends to happen during lift procedures as a side effect since the surrounding tissues are being manipulated. Spoke to a few surgeons it seems this slanting effect will occur regardless but will be mild once swelling goes down. But I'm still not satisfied with that outcome because I've had a concentric malar lift before and I can certainly notice the change in my eye shape after the surgery. So after some consultations in seoul I decided to request the surgeon to, instead of pulling the tissues upwards, pull it to the sides instead and excuse some soft tissue at the same time (too much volume in my mid cheeks for my liking). Has anyone done a lift procedure in this manner before? If so, was it viable?

I have researched that an FL is not effective in removing nasal labial lines, it removes some but not all the lines. Look at all the "after" pics of FL you can see that they still need fillers. Hence my interest in para nasal implants apparently this is what the implants are designed to do. However this procedure is only popular in Asia so I can't find a lot of reviews except on PF where one person said she could "feel@ the implant whenever she talks so I don't know what I would hate more my lines or feeling the implant. I have to say some of the fillers are great nowadays so may be a safer way to go.
Watch this Silhouette Soft you are awake done under local, doc can adjust with your input. Not trad theadlift as the polylactic threads dissolves. In the meantime collagen builds up.

Yeah that's why I actually requested some soft tissue be excised during the macs lift to flatten the mid face region. My folds are a result of mild sagging due to too much volume from soft tissue. When I went back to Dr Mendelson is 2012 to remove some of the hydroxy at the anterior projection, he mentioned to me that some sagging would occur since the hydroxy was holding up the soft tissues he had lifted from the lower facial region. So by excising the soft tissues during the macs lift I can negate a huge portion of the folds.

Although I was actually advised against a Macs Lift because the surgeon said my case is mild and I should use fat grafting instead. But my issue is I don't like a full face. I like having angular definition and a fierce look.

Regarding paranasal I inquired about that too but the surgeons i consulted with do not recommended due to discomfort and risk of deviating.

totally agree with u fillers are safer but unfortunately does not provide me with the aesthetic I wish to achieve.

I had mine done at the Dream by Dr YongWoo Jo.

And I won't be checking these posts anymore, so good luck everyone!

I can't make up my mind. If I can avoid going to Korea I would. The ONLY clinic I would consider in the US is Wave in L.A. an affiliate of Dream.

Excellent facelifts - REALLY WOW, their midface truly removes nasal labial lines, great fat grafting, AMAZING Asian eye jobs but their noses are just so-so which means I would STILL have to go to Seoul for a new nose. They have a "jaw shaping" but they do not do jaw surgery. They get their results with Botox and lipo but OMG the results are fantastic.
Check them out and give me your opinion good or bad. I also like their browlift, really transformative. The majority of their patients are Koreans living in L.A.

Lita Oh - gee u started young for a facelift. Who was you doc? Please tell as it is time for me to have a fl.

Did u read KCouture's recommendation for Dream? Said she thought patient looked in her 30's when she was in her late 60's.
You know the old saying Asians look younger than their Caucasian counterparts, so if she
fooled KCouture, it's a good sign!

Lots Oh please give me your doc's name of PM me.
Thanks in advance
Hi Lita,

Can you PM me please about your facelift, I would like to know the name of the clinic and the doctor name as well.

I look forward to hear from you, thanks
