Its been almost two years since I purchased an eyeshadow palette. I used to buy them constantly. Felt like I needed all the colors and all the formulas. Now they don't appeal to me. I don't even hear about the new releases. Is it just me, or is the over consumption of palettes a thing of the past?


I've been wearing Charlotte Tilbury cream shadows. Usually oyster pearl as a one and done shade. What are you wearing on your eyes?

this one is a ds brand so you might not be interested in it but I like it mainly for the light neutral brown color (last color on the right)....the rest of the colors mostly go to waste but the price is so low it's worth it just for the one color

I too felt I had to buy all the newest palettes and for the same reasons but I got off that train a while ago. I think the pandemic had a lot to do with me falling out with eyeshadows. Coincidentally too, I love and mainly use cream shadow sticks like CT, BB, etc. now. I did keep some palettes but rarely reach for them.

I am kind of biased here, In film we use mostly matte shades as it shows up better in how they light people for film. Having said that, I use MAC eyeshadows as they have a large colour range of matte shades that come in pots and also in refill pans so you can build-your-own palettes, plus the discount doesn't hurt.

Oh. Honey. I have recently discovered Charlotte Tilbury. I love that brand. I am becoming a "Tilbury Girl!" rapidly. :smile:
