Eyebrow shade - dull? Suggestions please. (w/pics)

Hope someone can help me out.

I have a question about the colour of my brows.

My hair is a sort of dark dirty blond, and I heard brows should be a shade or two darker than hair.

I'm wondering if I should dye mine a bit lighter, I'm not sure, they can appear a lot darker (as in stand out) but what I don't like is the fact that the colour is "dull" (if you know what I mean)

Everytime I try to find info it's always about making grows "darker" or using a pencil.

Now, from the photos do you think I should go for a slightly lighter shade, or is there some way I can get a "colour" and not just the natural dull shade.

What are the solutions?
I once applied a bit of foundation powder with a sponge to see how a lighter shade would look, something more similar to my hair and it didn't look too bad.

Any suggestions/advice/help would be greatly appreciated. :confused1:

Photo 2 seems to highlight the more accurate hair colour shades. Some are slightly in the sun, since my hair tends to look "lighter".

Wow you have beautiful features! Your lips are stunning! Angelina Jolie would be proud!
I find the colour of your hair, and your eyebrow hair to be quite complimenting for your face.
But what I would suggest, is maybe you could get them thinned out? The colour is not overpowering. But with prominent eyebrows and prominent facial features (which you should be proud of!) It may look a little full on.
I would suggest asking salons and beauticians for advice. If you get a few rows plucked or removed, it will open up the eye area, and wont look as heavy, but will still nicely define and compliment your face  Playing around with bleaches and dyes will ruin your natural colour of your brows. Ive seen someone do this. They had dark chestnut hair/eyebrows. They bleached their brows. And they came out orange :wtf:
oh dear... Hope this has helped though

MartiniGirl: Thanks! You're sweet ;)

April_Skye:  Thanks really nice to hear, I have a mixed backround (middle eastern/european) and not sure where I got my lips from since most family members have thinner lips. I've never really seen it as a positive feature until recently so I'm still "Accepting" it. Thank you though

I really appreciate your tips and advice on bleaching and colouring, I'll be sure to stay away from that then.

I agree with the rest---don't touch em! hehe!

I wish mine were as pertty as yours!

I overplucked when I was a tad younger and certain hairs dont grow back. I use to fill them in everyday but now I am trying to just let it go natural.~

Ugh! I know what you mean! I went crazy with the tweezers at 13. I didnt know wat I was doing. They were pencil-thin and just UGLY! I got the weirdest looks from people!

And now, 7 years later, I still have to (lightly) use a brow pencil - to shade in little patches and make them look fuller. Ive got this down to an art. So no one really knows...
Still, it IS annoying... I shouldve gone to a brow specialist and got them shaped properly.:Push:

I'd suggest trying a rich brown brow pencil, used correctly it will add warmth without looking artificial.

Dot it along the centre of your eyebrow (stay at least a millimetre back from the edges), blend or soften as required with a cotton bud, then brush to finish.
