exterior care for 3rd season bows...

hello everyone!

just wondering does season 3 bow owners actually apply anything on the surface of the bag before using? like those leather treatment that I see previous season bow owners uses on their bags... i ask the SA and she said there is no need... but i am so worried the bag will crack or something! ><

any advise? TIA!

I think it will not crack. But with use & over time I am guessing the glaze would wear off. I am not too worried coz then the leather would be yummier. However I do spray over with a water repellent spray. I use Apple Garde which I buy from leatherstuff.com. I also use LMB FHO on the handles to prevent darkeneing. I wrote to Barbara of LMB to ask if it is safe to use before I went ahead to apply.

pinkboudoir: seems like the apple garde and LMB FHO are highly recommended! plus they can use it on my other leather bags! but, buying from the site is insanely expensive (the shipping charges! ><) you bought urs from the site too?

I haven't put anything on mine. The glaze seems like it will act like a barrier, at least against small amounts of rain, etc.
