I recently started getting into MK. For the past few years I was never really a fan until the past few weeks. It suddenly hit me and I've got the MK bug!

I picked up a MK watch last week and I love it! Now I want a bag too!

I knew immediately after going through this subforum that I want a Hamilton satchel. I love the design and shape of it. I really like the ones with the round lock on the front. When I browsed eBay I noticed that there were some that don't come with the lock on the front. Are these the ones from the outlet? Do outlets get the Hamiltons with the locks on the front?

I never pay full price for anything and it will be the same with this. I'm looking to spend less than $180 for my Hamilton satchel. I'm only interested in the leather version. I already have a purple bag, so that color is out. I adore the mocha and luggage colors. I'm not too interested in the black or white colors, but if the price is irresistible I'll take it!

Do they have mocha with gold hardware? I'm usually not a fan of gold hardware but its been creeping into my wardrobe as of late and I have been rocking it!

So, MK experts, I hope you can keep me in mind as you browse for more MK deals. If there is a store that has one on sale please PM me with the store's information and I'll see if I can do a charge send. Thanks so much!! :nuts:

Based on the info I know about Hamiltons, they ALL have the little lock on the front so the ones without the locks you've been seeing on eBay might be fakes or the seller somehow lost the lock? That seems kind of weird. But you definitely want to make sure when you buy a Hamilton at some point that it does have the lock.

I cannot claim to be an expert, but I've never seen a Hamilton without a lock, nor would I ever purchase one without a lock. Regarding the Mocha with gold hardware, I've never seen that combination. However, I do know that the Hamilton came in black, luggage, navy and other colors with gold hardware. But gold hardware sells out pretty fast (perhaps an indication they ought to make more?), so they are a little harder to find. There is a thread on this forum about Hamiltons with gold hardware, so you might want to ask on there if anyone has seen one, and if so, where.

I also don't claim to be an expert, but I am pretty sure that the MK outlets did in fact get Hamiltons with no lock, just a logo where the lock is on the boutique bags - some people posted a while back that they had seen them at the outlets.

Insofar as price is concerned, I am no help. I'm in Canada and there are no sales here and the prices are higher. I paid $350 plus tax for my medium size.

Thanks for the insight. Its the MK outlet like the Coach outlet where they also get the full priced bags? Would there be a chance of me getting a Hamilton with a lock there?

Also, I found a photo of a Hamilton without the lock. Taken from eBay for reference.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can step in here, but I don't think any of the boutique Hamiltons with the lock have shown up at the outlets. I also don't think the MK outlets are as good as Coach outlets - that is something Coach has down to a science and does better than anyone!! The MK outlets only offer a 10 day exchange (in Canada) and no refunds. They do get some boutique bags, but not as deeply discounted as Coach outlets.

Come to think of it, I've rarely seen a reveal on here from an MK outlet - they are almost always from ebay or a dept. store.

There are 2 MK outlets in Orlando - we are going there on vacation next month and I'll certainly be checking those out and reporting back.

I checked out an MK outlet in Toronto, and it was extremely disappointing - I was expecting a Coach like experience, and was really let down.

The MK outlet by me is really nice! It has a decent bag selection and the entire back of the store is all clothing. I've bought two bags in the outlet and my mom bought a gorgeous MK jacket as well. I guess some stores are different than others. Mind you, the MK outlet is significally smaller than the Coach outlet in the same area, but the selection is pretty good! I always manage to walk out with something!

Thanks for all the advice ladies! I've checked out the MK outlet before but this was before I was into the brand so I didn't really pay attention to most of it. I guess I'll have to make a trip over to my closest outlet sometime soon.

I also checked out several TJs and Marshalls in the past few days. I found a medium black signature Hamilton marked down to $99. There was also a brown canvas tote that I saw today for $159. I liked the size of the tote which I originally thought would be too big just from the photos. The medium actually looks a tad small.

Do any of you use the larger tote version for work? How do files and binders fit?

Same here as what Love4MK said. The MK outlet and Coach outlet are next to each other. I was there before the new year and almost bought a vanilla chainlink hobo. The leather was soooo soft, but then I notice the leather color didn't match throught the bag, so I passed. So, they do get full-price bags, but not as quick or as many as Coach.
As for the Hamiltons, I don't know where the sellers on ebay are getting them without the lock. The outlet version of the Hamilton's have a gold plate where the lock is and the size is a little different, it's larger than the medium and not as tall as the large, it's a really nice in between size.
The MK boutique by me had a Mocha (dark brown) Hamilton on sale. I was in there several times, but I don't need another dark brown bag!

Thanks for the tip Crazy for Bags. I gave your store a call and they said that the Mocha was not on sale and it was only the orange. I might stop by my local store to take a look at how orange it is before deciding on it.

Yea, the Hamiltons without the locks that I was referring to were the ones with the gold plates.

That's funny, it was sitting in the sale section the last time I was there.
The orange is a really nice shade. Kind of like the luggage color with more orange, if that makes any sense at all.

Yea! When I talked to the lady on the phone she originally said that both colors were on sale. When I got ready to give her my card number she told me she made a mistake and it was only the orange. I might have to hold out for the mocha and call a few other places. I'll be at the store tomorrow so I can see the orange. I've seen a few pictures on eBay and it seems like a good color!

I would like to have this Hamilton tote in tangerine. I've checked it online but they just ship within US, I live in Canada by the way. I can place an order thru phone or chat but I am not sure if it will be more expensive. The price in store here is CAD$390. Does anybody here tried buying a bag in the US and have it shipped to Canada?
