Hi guys! I’m hoping somebody can turn me on to something new!
Sadly, I live in a town where the only Luxury handbag available is LV. Seems unfair because we have two Nordies and millions of people, but I guess not a lot who love designer bags. Not even Gucci. And I’m looking for something that is kind of hard to find without touching or seeing. Maybe somebody here knows about something I don’t? (Almost certainly!)
I love LV and I have several-although all canvas. But I “need” a black handbag, and I’d like a satchel or smaller tote in soft, almost slouchy leather, not stiff! Since I can’t shop and touch myself, I’m looking for recommendations. It may end up being an LV (Montaigne or something similar although it’s a bit more formal than I need) but before I resort to my old standby I’m looking for s bew idea.
I like more of a casual, almost rocker-ish style, like a Valentino rockstud. (The only one I touched was stiff though. ) I have a Balenciaga metallic edge City S but it’s in a beige and it’s a bit smaller than I want-but not much as I’m a small person. I don’t want the same bag in a different color though, I’m funny that way.
I want some structure on the bottom but not a stiff bag. And I dislike the look of winged gussets although I think those are out now.
While I have some gorgeous bags and I change regularly, most are small and I have to manage my stuff. I have an LV planner, the smaller one, but I have to carry that. I also bought a large LV wallet for some reason so that takes more room.
I want one daily bag I can grab and go in the rain or when I don’t have time and don’t feel like changing and I feel black goes with everything. My bal has been that for me but it’s light colored and although I never sell bags I also worry about longevity. I want to keep value for my family. I’m not really that careful and have been known to put them on the floor.

The bags on my wishlist right now are a Fendi runway and Kan (and the Hermes Evelyn) but clearly, they won’t work for what I need except maybe the Hermes and finding it in black isn’t easy, not to mention it’s more than I hope to pay.
I don’t mind good quality used but I have been taken before. So something I can order from Nordstrom or the company would be best, although I’ve had good luck with RR.
I either want luxury or indie. I have Minkoff and Coach, and while one of my older Minkoff bags has been close to my favorite, and I still carry them all when I need the color, once you get used to LV, Fendi and Chanel, it’s sadly hard to go back. Maybe I’m a snob but my whole life I’ve worked to where I can afford luxury now and then. I don’t take it lightly which is why I’m asking.
Anybody have a bag idea for me?
