Ello...

So finally I have sent one of my beloved bags off to be repaired today!!

Can I just ask what their turn around is? if anyone has had experience with them (which I am sure you have)

Do they give you the lowdown on your bag then ask you if you want to go ahead with repairs then get billed?

I am missing it already:crybaby::crybaby:

I find Shepton Mallet very good as they are near the original factory so usually have everything they need to hand.

They looked at one of my "pre-loved" Mulberry's that I got off ebay second hand and had some damage to it, told me what needed doing and gave me a quote before asking if wanted to go ahead.

Turn around time about a week.

Hope this helps ;)

I have had nothing but good experiences with Mulberry repairs. I cant speak highly enough of their service whether it has been for a bag in guarantee period or older.

If you have given them your telephone number they will phone you with a quote. If you choose to go ahead they will ask for your payment card details.

I usually have to post mine in as I am several hours away from the nearest Mulberry store. I took advantage of my one and only (fabulous, out of this world) visit to Shepton Mallet and actually took a large suitcase full of bags for repair with me :happydance: The Shepton Mallet staff were amazing, :flowers: labelled them all up and sent my precious bags onwards . They were all returned individually, beautifully wrapped and boxed :love::hugs:

What are you sending it back for? Sometimes depending on what is being done it can take quite awhile. I have been quoted anything up to six weeks before but must admit it has never taken that long.

Sending it back because the pipings gone on the bottom a bit, took it to vegas last year and was a bit disrespectful by putting it on floor a bit in casinos n bars !!!

I have also asked if they offer anything in the way of shaping because its gone a bit saggy....

Do they rebox it for you and everything? I bought it from harrods so I never had a nice box to begin with

:nogood: "casinos n bars" poor Mulbs :lolots:

They will send it back in a Mulberry carrier bag, with tissue & ribbon. They only recently started selling bags in the grey boxes, so no box I am afraid.

Is it a Lexy? Have you thought of buying a bag shaper to go in the bottom? It usually makes a lot of difference

Yeah,

Well luckily my base shaper for my lv neverful fits perfectly inside it... but... the horse as kinda bolted on that one really as it looks like its kinda just fell in on itself lol

Don't they offer re shaping then? Just need it to look a lil less sleepy!!! It annoys me really I thought they would include feet on these as it would prevent this happening, anyway once I get it fixed people are gonna have to save a space at the table for my handbag!!!

It took 3 weeks for Mulberry to come back to me. My Valentines Alexa had inking issues where it was cracking on the edges and the plait. I bought the £995 bag in the sale ofr £696 and they are offering me store credit and no repair. A kind store assistant is trying to source the same bag as a replacement but since it sold out I'm not holiday my breath. To say I am gutted is an understatement! I can't even swop it for a similar bag for that. First time feel let down by Mulberry!

Awwww noooo bet your gutted, are they offering a credit for the same value?

They havent contacted me yet about the repair, just said that they have received it!!!

Wow really? mine is there for the same thing now - did they give you any indication of the price?

6 weeks is ages!!!

They quoted me £25+Vat as the bag is less than 2 years old. They told me they would phone me if was more to repair, but I never had a phonecall.

I guess I’m one of the unlucky ones, everyone else’s repairs had a quick turnaround.

I also think 6 weeks is very long. I’m a little bit disappointed.

Yes credit for the same value at House of Fraser but I can't get an Alexa for that. The sale if goods act states they should replace the bag with something similar but I've not been offered that! Gutted indeed!!
