I purchased the T Wire in mother of pearl + diamond and absolutely LOVE it. However, I’m so nervous because I’ve read many things about how they easily bend out of shape. I have also seen the misshapen used bracelets being sold online. If they can be fixed, why wouldn’t these resellers attempt to bend them back into shape prior to selling?

I expressed all these concerns to my SA and she profusely reassured me that they can be easily bent back into shape and I could always bring my bracelet to the store to be fixed if needed. What has been your experience with them??

Also, on a fun note… do you like the diamond + mother of pearl combo or all diamonds? It was such a struggle for me to choose. Of course I loved the idea of it being all diamonds (and my SA said I could also shower with it) but I felt the diamond + mother of pearl had a beautiful contrast that gave it an entirely different, really unique energy! Congratulations on your new bracelet! Both versions are lovely, but if I had to choose between I would choose the pearl and diamond like you did. Would love to see photos if you would like to share.

Due to the design where it has to line up perfectly square, it doesn't take much for it to come out of alignment (think of the small juc design which is more forgiving). Unless you put it on and never/rarely take it off, it will get bent out of shape.

Regarding the question of why they are not sent for repair prior to sale, my guess is going to be as it is due to 2 things. Firstly, it the item is accepted for repair, that the repair costs are high (and this is just speculation off quotes I have received). Second, the resale value is low and not worth the repair cost.

I haven't owned this bracelet so could be completely wrong (!) but would go by what your SA says if it is out of shape it could be bent back. I seem to recall someone posting about not being happy with a repair to make something straight (think it was a pendant?) but hopefully others to have this can chime in.

I owned the narrow T wire bracelet in yellow gold and ended up selling it after about 1 year. I wore it on and off depending on what I was wearing and found that over time, the T’s got out of alignment slightly and it annoyed me. I felt like it was not a worry free bracelet and I was constantly looking at it or being careful with it. It did look beautiful on though! I hope you enjoy your mother of pearl one :).

Well, I have never personally owned the T wire piece. It was something that I considered a long time ago and just like you I went onto the pre-loved sides and I saw how bent they were and to be honest bending them back is probably not a big deal since it is a thin wire, but that just didn’t sit well with me so it’s something I passed on.
Even if you already bought it, but it already makes you so nervous about it bending or warping overtime. I suggest that you actually return it because then you may be afraid of wearing it and then end up, not wearing it.

Thank you so much for your response, this is helpful! I considered getting the all diamond one to prevent it from bending since my SA said this one could be worn 24/7, but I knew I would be stressed having such a delicate piece on constantly. Your theory about why it’s not fixed when resold makes a lot of sense. Attached is a picture!

Ahhh thank you for the response. Did you ever try bending it back into shape or getting it fixed in store?

Yes I tried bending it back myself and it just didn’t seem to stay for long. I think with taking it off and on daily it would just get out of alignment eventually. I think some people are not bothered by the T’s not lining up but for me it was annoying. I prefer jewelry that is easy and this bracelet was just fussy to me. Mine was the narrow so maybe the one you purchased, gorgeous by the way, will not be that way.

I have 2 of the narrow T wire bracelets. I’ve had my white gold one since 2016 and I bought the yellow gold one a few years ago. I wear them 24/7 which helps keep their shape. I agree with @casiecn that taking them off everyday might contribute to them getting out of alignment. If they ever snag on something when I’m wearing them(rare) they bend right back into shape.

Thank you! I wish I could wear mine 24/7 but I have a baby that would be constantly grabbing at it. Based on all these responses sadly considering returning my bracelet.

I think that's the right thing to do. Imo this is a very poor design. The only t bracelet I would ever encourage someone to buy is the hinged version. The wire ones will never stay in shape unfortunately.

On the flip side, you can have fun trying on items to find something else to buy. All the best.

I have one. And yeah it got out of alignment from putting it on and taking off or also getting caught inadvertently early on. I still own it, but it does bug me that the they aren’t aligned. I have tried bending it back a few times, but I do worry that I am bending it in other places as well. If I could do it over again, yeah I would buy the hinged one as well.

My friend has one and she wears it quite often. Not sure how often she is taking it off but it is also not lined up anymore and that kept me away from getting it. I got the hinged T1 bangle in the smaller version instead and I am very happy with it.

I’ve been debating purchasing that same bracelet (MOP and diamond) for a while now but I just can’t pull the trigger due to the warping issues and the price (I think it’s just way too much for what it is). I’ve decided I may purchase it preloved at some point (the prices are like half of that in store even for ones that aren’t warped…..many Tiffany items didn’t seem to hold their resale value very well either which is another concern I had about purchasing new). At any rate, it’s a beautiful piece, enjoy yours!
