Exciting ETRO Ebay Gem: Reveal!!

Ive admired the designer Etro since I came across an advertisement about ten years ago in Vogue
there was this beautiful, hippie-like model literally leaping off a sidewalk across a two-page spread and she was wearing the most ethereal, bohemian clothing with gorgeous colors and paisleys
and I was just entranced. Sunlight was floating through the layers of her clothing and the ad just epitomized the idea of freedom and happiness for me at that point in my life. I carefully cut the ad out and put it on my wall, where it remained for years.
Ever since, Ive been following Etros designs, admiring their luxe velvets and furs for fall and wispy dresses and flowy pants for spring and summer. This past fall, I was excited to score an Etro scarf in mint condition from a high-end consignment shop in Boston. Ive been dreaming about owning an Etro handbag, but the prices seemed beyond my reach
Until this beauty popped up when I searched on Ebay on Sunday night

I was hoping to have someone with me! 
This bag was actually my 2nd choice, believe it or not, because I was outbid at the last second on the first Etro bag I had my eye on. Im SO happy that I ended up with this beauty, though shes absolutely gorgeous and pics dont do her justice!
After hunting around on the internet, I think this is from their Fall 2006 line and I believe it originally sold for $1270. I scored her for I kid you not about $165 including 2nd day priority shipping! Im still pinching myself. (Oh, and thats Ziggy, not to be left out of any reveals.)

Wow, Rharris - $3800!!! I believe it, though I didn't know prices had climbed quite THAT high. I know their canvas totes are pricey...I just can't believe I found this velvet bag (with brown leather-lined pockets and handles!) for such a low price.
I would wear every piece they create, too! I have a bit of a rep as a "boho" high-school English teacher and I would LOVE to be able to have an Etro wardrobe! :giggles: But bags are my ultimate passion, so owning a piece of the brand feels fantastic.....
I usually sell on eBay and don't often buy - so I'm always a little nervous because I've heard horror stories from others about their experiences. But this seller was more than sweet and I really lucked out -- it's a beautiful piece for an unreal price!!! Thanks for sharing my excitement!
