Hi all, I was gifted with a love ring, which was too big, so we took it back to the store (Cartier in Saks in NYC) and exchanged for a smaller size. Immediately after the exchange was done, I regretted not trying on an even smaller size (probably too excited I got the ring that I couldn't think straight :p). The saleswoman said she couldn't do a second exchange. Is this true?

Now, I am very afraid of the ring slipping off my finger. Depending on how my finger fluctuates in size over the day, I may have to put a little bit of pressure to get it off and other times, it doesn't require any pressure at all. Thanks for your responses in advance.

I haven't heard that before. My Cartier let's me exchange until I get the size/style right. Doesn't matter to them as long as the condition of what I am returning is new/no scratches and I am within the return period.

I got my Love ring sized down from a 60 to a 59 at Cartier Chicago. I expressed concern that it might still move around too much and the SA said I could have it sized down again no problem.
