Exchange? But its so pretty...

I preordered the Xmas Animation and received it few days ago, however I am on the fence as I sold off pretty much most of my LV as I am curating my collection according to my lifestyle, currently I only have 1 speedy 20 in my collection and 1 xmas collection mini pochette from 2019. (the ski bear design) but i do not have any wallet at all.

I'm thinking of returning these 2 items to exchange for an Epi Alma BB in Black as I always wanted 1. Can any one give some suggestions? I asked my SA, she said if I released my xmas animations it will be hard to buy them again as its already or almost sold out for most of the designs. I hope you all bag lovers can give me some help here

You either love what you bought or you don’t. If you have to ask, perhaps it’s not love? I don’t know that anyone else’s opinion matters. Epi Alma bb in black is certainly a gorgeous, classic bag but tough to compare to what you already purchased.

I think if you’re even debating it then that’s your answer! Sometimes I think we can get caught up in the hype & the ‘other people want this item so I have to keep it’ mentality, when really we should buy what we truly want! You mentioned you don’t have a wallet so could keep that and return/sell the mini pochette as you have another already?

I love the SLGs but for now I'm not sure if it justify me keeping them as I already have a 2019 mini pochette although I dont have a wallet per se in my collection.
I just felt the SLG are small and one doesnt need to spend so much $ to buy since they are just kept in the purse but I preordered these as they are cute so just contemplating if I should really keep them or exchange for a more justifiable item? Yes the Epi alma is a classic bag for sure that's why I'm torn... and as you know LV kept increasing their prices so I'm not sure if by the time I want to purchase will it be worth it then...

Exactly my thoughts too! Since I already have a 2019 mini pochette I was thinking of returning the Seoul one and just keep the victorine wallet for my use and top up for an alma Epi ... That's why we all get caught up with the hype of Limited ed pieces with all the media and stuff and I'm one of them.. it was at that moment when I pre-ordered I was thinking oh i definitely must buy the animation to keep it but then after it arrived and I sat down to ponder, I was like .. hmm do I really need them or should i get a Classic instead. Since animations will always be release yearly but the classic is like forever. And the prices also kept increasing in the meantime!

Really truly, get what works for you, as in fulfills a functionality need. Others' pressure to buy/keep what may be hard to find later or is allegedly collectible is just marketing nonsense.

PS these really are cute, but they're also real money.

If you don’t think you’ll use these items then exchange for the alma. There will be another holiday collection next year or I am sure these collection items will show up on the preloved market eventually. Don’t let them say that they are so limited you may not be able to get again make you keep something you don’t like…I’ve done that and if I’m questioning it and kept it I’ve regretted it…

Go for the epi black Alma BB. That's my next purchase (if I decide to bite the bullet). I currently have the monogram Alma BB and I absolutely love it. I'd much rather have that cute little Alma over these slgs any day.

Echoing what the others said...if you are questioning it that means you dont want it...i'd rather put money towards a bag than slg's. Christmas animation while very pretty is a little too loud. I only have a couple pieces and don't really use them!!

I would go for the alma bb in black epi or even the buci in black

You all are the best reading your comments. I am really leaning on that alma epi it’s been on my dream list for the longest time! Will visit the store soon and do the exchange. The animations are nice and pretty but they are just seasonal pieces. ❤️

I think the animation pieces are nice and fun but for their cost, I’d prefer to put the money towards a handbag…Especially since it sounds like you’re curating your collection. The alma bb you are interested is classic and fabulous. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hype (I’m so guilty with the zippy coin in sunrise pastel which I later sold because it was way too small for me) but I’d just remind yourself what your long term goals are. Best of luck deciding!

It really seems like you want the Alma. And its price will almost certainly only keep rising. Go get it!! Doesn't seem like you really love the SLGs enough and I can relate very much to regretful keeping of limited edition pieces.
