Yikes! Any pics of this disaster?I ordered the Raspberry Gathered Leather Sophia Sunday night with PCE. Paid the extra shipping to get it here today and when I open the box, it looks like CRAP.
I had my camera out to do a reveal even tho it has been revealed many times but when I got the dustbag out, it was such a big disappointment that I put the camera away.
It was packaged very nicely all wrapped up on with tissue paper inside the dust bag. As soon as I pulled the tissue paper off, it went downhill from there.
The dustbag had black marks that looked like grease all over it. I had a sinking feeling the rest of the bag would not be up to par as well...
Well, the good news is there is no grease on the bag. The bad news is that the pleats on the front left hand side of the bottom are non-existent. It is completely flat. And the right hand side in the middle they are flattened out as well. Also, the tag is attached to the bag but the price is gone. Where the perforated MSRP price is usually located is torn off.
It clearly looks like a return to me. I was planning on taking it for a PA but I dont think that I want to keep it now. It looks bad already and I know from having the gathered leather bags, it will only relax more over time.
So, now I have to decide if I want to keep it and try to get the PA bringing it down to around $209 or just return it to FP and get my almost $400 back. Or trade it for the Aubergine. I just don't think that this bag is worth the even $200 that it would be at outlet price.
Oh yeah, LAST WEEK, I ordered the Sun canvas sneakers in the online sale to match my tote. I ordered a 6.5. I got them, the box says 6.5 and the shoes say 6.5 but when I tried them on, they look like they are about an 8.5! I am about to be done with Coach.
Sorry there are no pics but I think any of you that own a gathered leather bag know how bad it looks. I was just too upset to take pics!
Someone should be reprimanded for letting that go out.
What a let down! Doesn't anybody look at this stuff before they ship it????!!
It was a return. Mine was a floor model and the leather is more relaxed than my aubergine or graphite but the rest is perfectly fine
I'm sorry this happened to you. I know how disappointing that can be. You'd think people would look it over before they toss it in the box and slap a shipping sticker on it. I guess they figure no one will really care and won't send it back. I hope this gets resolved.

I would take to a FP store and let them know what was shipped to me -at FP price..really ppl
I just watched last week's Project Runway, and the challenge started in MK's flagship store in NYC - I spied some gorgeous bags in some gorgeous colors....
I am so sorry to hear this. I hope they go above and beyond to make it right. If you must find therapy with MK, post pics in the non-coach thread so we can all delight in your great taste .

Oh no, I am sad to hear this. Mine is out for delivery. I hope it is not messed up especially since I specifically asked if anything was wrong with it. I have a graphite one and it is gorgeous. Hope you find something great at MK.
Terrible! Return immediately! I know the feeling of getting ready to take pics & then being so disappointed ya don't - except mine was just not liking the bag vs it being a mess and falling apart!

I'm so sorry, tnsweetness. I understand how disappointed you are, and I would be too. I would do as CFC09 said; go show your nearest FP store what you received. I'd also call JAX, and get someone's email address there so that you can send them pics too. There is just no excuse for you receiving something in the shape that you described, and having to pay FP for it to boot. JAX needs to know that sending stuff like that out will do nothing but cause them to lose customers and get a bad reputation. You might even get lucky and get a coupon or gift card for your troubles, if you're even still interested in Coach after all this.
ETA: Just saw your pics. IMO, the bag you received should've been considered defective and should never have been sold at FP. I think we all know that that's definitely not how that bag should look.
I agree. How in the world did someone miss the grease on the dustbag? I think every item that goes out should be fully inspected before it's boxed up, and it's just hard to believe that no one noticed the grease or at least had the decency to put a new dustbag on the bag.

WTFrack is going on w/Coach lately....seriously guys get your act together. My hubby picked up a Louisa for me from the outlet I had to return b/c it was rubbed on the corners....like someone used it and returned it and they took it back...seriously?!?!
Now as far as your bag goes....dang it's gorgeous and I hope you can get a PERFECT one representative of the cost Coach charges for the bag......once again you have beautiful taste. Keep us posted, and do a reveal if you get a new one!!! That bag is totally worthy of purseporn!!
You need to call JAX and tell them the condition the bag was sent and how disappointed you are. Decades ago, when Coach was made in the USA, I never heard any complaints, not ever. But I, too, have had my problems with today's Coach.
Oh hell no...That needs to go back ASAP.
Such a pretty color. I am glad you did such a good inspection; that is unacceptable!
A FP bag? Are you kidding me? I'm so sorry. You are to sweet to have this happen to. What a total let down.
