Ever get a bag that smelled like mildew?

If so, what did you do? Did you return it? Was there something that you did that actually removed the smell? If not, did you keep it anyway?

I already read all of the posts on http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vuitton-faqs/removing-smells-from-your-lv-faqs-98820.html, but no one seemed to have any success removing the smell.
I purchased a pre-loved Luco to use as a laptop/work bag and it's in lovely condition but for a somewhat mild mildew smell. I have 2 weeks to return it so I'm curious as to what others have done.

I bought one from Japan once that smelled like mothballs. I put it outside for about a week on my back fenced in deck with dryer sheets and it got much better. The Luco is a really nice tote. I don't smell anything at all with mine but I think it was just mothballs. If it is mold or mildew though, I would probably try to return.

Air it out & then rub dryer sheets in bag & zip it up till the am

Try wiping the lining with rubbing alcohol and keep it sealed til next morning.

Then, spray a small amount of your favorite perfume. It will die away eventually.
