Evening shoulder bag for H addict?

there's the illico (there's also a clutch version of this bag) that can be worn on the shoulder with the strap doubled up or worn cross body. have not seen them around recently though.

What amazing suggestions, I :heart: you all. You have amazing taste. That Caterina is gorgeous and I would fall for the mini mini Constance in a heartbeat were it not for the H branding.
Cats, do you know if the Chanel Boy WOC is bigger than regular WOCs? I had thought it was...then again I can't FIND one! It seems right - the branding is not super obvious, the strap can be worn two ways. I would go reissue (only other Chanel I really like) but I am looking for a 226 reissue for everyday similar purpose....plus, the prices, and all the fakes!!
I did not know there were BV knots with straps...I had zeroed out BV, as the woven leather BV bags I have (two, including a small shoulder one) have NOT withstood the test of time well at all. I wonder if a Knot can be worn with jeans...

I would love a bag I don't have to completely freak out about...was out last night with a box K28 in a crowded bar and every time someone put a drink next to it I was alarmed :faint: I think the WOC is $2200 and while not anything like cheap, it's not a Kelly.

QF, I don't know if the Boy WOC is different from the regulars, but I thought all WOCs were the same size. Maybe ask over on the Chanel forum?

We have very similar tastes -- the reissue is pretty much the only Chanel I like, and some of the Boy line ... but the price hikes have pretty much stopped me from buying retail. I will say that Yoogis Closet usually has a good supply of a variety of Chanel bags and their prices are usually reasonable.

Surprising that your BVs haven't held up well -- that is so opposite of their reputation. Have you brought them back to be refurbished?

My only experience with BV has been the same with QF, not great. The item looked so worn after a very short period of use and I ended up selling it on eBay.

My little BV shoulder bag just looks...worn as xiangxiang says I think is the exact way to put it. I did take it to a specialist bag place but not back to BV.
I'm going to see if I can get hold of the Boy WOC to see what it will hold. I like to be prepared when I go out just in case the night gets epic and my friends and I end up seeing the sunrise (nothing wild, but sometimes you just want to hang out and chat all night ya know?) :cool: ...just in case it's good to have a few cosmetics on hand!

Cats, I am in full agreement on Chanel. For the current prices I am going H all the way. But maybe it will be a smaller preloved reissue. I love that back pocket...it's such a practical bag design and none of Karl's big CCs :P
I have a $500 credit at Portero but they are so overpriced to start that it's useless!

There are some wonderful vintage H evening bags like the pan & faco ( think it is called)

roomy enough for money, cards etc... (if a vintage bag is of interest to you)

Very easy to add a chain or strap & won't take away from the integrity of the bag

I'm not sure if it would be large enough for your needs, but as catsinthebag mentioned, the Kelly Wallet can be converted into a shoulder bag, with a Farandole necklace. So pretty together, I think! And you end up with two fun accessories, that can be used together, or separately!

I was also going to suggest vintage. There are some great little evening bags at reasonable prices, and they are quite unique. Here's a pic of my vintage find ..

I have realized that a "wallet on chain" of any kind is not quite big enough...however I already have a black Kelly wallet so on to a farandole I go...I thought it would look kind of hacked together but it looks great!!! Won't solve my OP problem but will help when I want to only take my wallet out THANK YOU :heart:
