Eva Longoria went on a $70,000 shopping spree as she opened the Harrods Winter Sale on Thursday (Dec 28, 2006).
The "Desperate Housewives" star blew the whopping sum in just 90 minutes as she picked up bargain designer handbags, shoes, and coats at the exclusive London department store.
She gushed: "This is my favorite store! I've never seen anything like this, it's amazing!"
The 31-year-old who was given a private tour of the shop by its owner Mohammed Al Fayed on Wednesday (Dec 27, 2006) avoided the post-Christmas rush by skipping the lengthy queue outside, which had been forming since 5 a.m..
Eva was especially excited about her spree because she received only a few Christmas gifts from her fiance, basketball star Tony Parker.
She explained: "This year Tony and I decided we weren't going to buy each other presents. We're building our house and we've got the wedding to plan."
Eva who is planning to wed the San Antonio Spurs player in Paris next July (07) confessed the couple are also unlikely to enjoy a romantic honeymoon because of their hectic work schedules.
She said: "We film for 10 months of the year so for my wedding I'm only going to get a week off and then it's back to work."
