Hi ladies, I have a quick question about contacting my SA. Let me start with a little back story.

I recently moved and visited my new local H store hoping to develop a relationship with a new SA. The visit went really well and I was lucky enough to meet a lovely SA, who seems like a good fit. On this visit, I brought with me 2 bags I wanted to have “spa’d”. He also wrote down my wish list, with the Mythiques Phoenix being at the top of my scarf list. He said that he expected one soon.

Only 5 days later, they called to tell me 1 of my 2 bags was ready! So, I emailed the SA and asked him if I should wait for the scarf to arrive to pick up my bag (the store is about 1.5 hrs away, so I want to minimizes trips.). He wrote me back and said that he thought it was a wonderful idea and that he would be sure to set one aside for me! :happydance:

Although has only been a week since my bag has been ready, I’d like some advice on proper etiquette for contacting him again about the scarf. With my previous SA, I didn’t have to worry that she would “forget about me”. But because this SA is new to me, I’m afraid he might not follow thru on setting it aside and giving me a call. At the same time, I’m not the “pestering” type.

My question is, what would be an appropriate amount of time to wait before "reminding" him about the scarf?:confused1:

I usually give my SA a month before following up on my items. They are a busy bunch with other clients as well, so I try not to be too bothersome to them.

Thank you ladybaby78. I definitely agree that being a SA is quite demanding and I dont want to pester him at all! I just was wondering what would roughly be an appropriate amount of time to pass before I ask about it again. :-)

I was kinda thinking about a month or so, but I sure hope he calls before then bc I'm missing my precious Kelly! Lol!

If you don't mind the drive or have other errands in town, then when you happen to stop by to pick up your bag you could make a casual reminder to your SA for the scarf. ;) It wouldn't sound pushy that way because you're there in person. But then my drive to work is about 1 1/2 hr each way so I'm used to the distance. If it doesn't work for you and you can hold off that long for your K then wait a month. I'm an impatient person so I'd hate to have to wait a month only to find out it hasn't come in yet and I hadn't got my bag back either.

Yeah, I'm pretty much waffling btw dying to go get my baby, but also facing the possibility the scarf could come in a couple of days after I stop in and then have to turn around and go right back.

I mean don't get me wrong, I would stop by weekly just to browse if it wasn't such a pain in the butt getting there! Lol! Unfortunately, DH and I share a car and to get there, find parking, shop, and then get home is about a 5 hr ordeal. I hate torturing the poor DH with all those trips (I also have another bag at the spa and who knows when that one will be ready).

Gosh I miss how close I was to my old store! I do know its going to be better on my wallet though! Haha!:pout:

I'm sure it's easier on the wallet. I'm checking myself into Ban Islands until at least next month because I work about 2 blocks away from H.

If you don't get a chance to go into the store, I'm sure your SA who sounds like a very nice SA will let you know when your scarf comes in. Good SAs usually keep tabs of what their customers are asking for. Mine keeps a little notebook and calls me when something I like comes in (which is not so good for me :p).

LOL, my purchase rate has indeed dropped significantly since moving away from my old store. Before, I could just hop on the subway and be there in under 15 min. It was fantastic and horrible all at the sme time! :nogood:

Why don't you drive to pick up your bag and ask your SA to ship your scarf to you when it arrives?
I hadn't thought about that, thats a great idea! Thank you :graucho:

I would do this too if I were you. At this early stage, it's worth spending a little time to build a relationship.
xiangxiang0731, thank you so much. I totally agree I should be getting in some "face time" early on!
FabFashion, thank you for alerting me to this! ::sweatdrop:
