I have been hunting for a full eternity ring for months and think I have finally found "the one". The ring is a diamond "hearts on fire" one with shared setting and it looks great with my engagement ring (round diamond with two pears). I hope this doesn't sound silly, but the ring is so sparkly that it makes the engagement ring look a bit dull (it is a certificated diamond but not hearts on fire). Please advise, thanks.

There can never be too much sparkle!!!

I'm sure you'll get used to the way they look together, otherwise, maybe wear one on each hand?

I had a similar dilemma when I put my wedding ring (2 rows of round diamonds, 3 rows of pave) with my engagement ring. My ER is Emerald cut, so it flashes instead of sparkles, and then my wedding ring definitely sparkles. I guess I feel like they balance each other out. My engagement ring diamond is beautiful and clean and then my wedding band is a sea of sparkles. I think you'll get used to it. (I do find, though, that I have to keep my ER super clean because when it gets dirty, it really shows with the sparkly diamonds right next to it!)

i tried on a beautiful eternity band with my original engagement ring, the diamonds (D-E colored)were much whiter than my H colored diamond, it looked yellow in comparison.

so i know what you mean, it kind of showed up my original stone...so i guess i will have to buy an eternity band with a little bit warmer color. oh well, i guess that means i can get bigger stones!

^color is a whole different animal, I agree.
If the color is very different that's not good. But to me, if it's just because they sparkle more, I think it's all good :D

I agree, Swanky. My solitaire is a better color (E) than my wedding band (H-I). The sparkle of my wedding band makes the lower color not as noticeable as it would be the other way around. An eternity band that is sparklier AND whiter than my solitaire might not make me as happy.

I agree with everyone. I would love a diamond ring to be as sparkly as possible. It puts a smile on my face when I see that diamond wink back at me. :p
I'm sure your ring is gorgeous nonetheless. So don't worry about it.

Thanks for all the advice & comments. I'm getting a new camera for my holiday & promise I will get to grips with how to post pics (I can't wait to be able to do this as I really enjoy seeing others pics).
