Ok . . . so I have been wearing jewelry since I was three (my first item was a gold locket- :) ). I love Tiffany. I love antiques. And today, I fell in love with Esty. I have not ordered anything yet, but their pieces are awesome. Can someone explain to me how the site works? Return policies? Etc. I first heard of this site from tpf. So, thank you for opening my eyes into a new jewelry world.

I have ordered a couple of things from Etsy and been very happy. Basically you communicate directly with the seller...if you see something you like, you message them to order. They decide the details of shipping, returns, etc. Good luck and happy shopping!

I also have ordered a lot off of Etsy and have always been very happy with my purchases. Just make sure that you read the descriptions really well and actually take out a ruler to get an idea of how big/small things really are in real life. Sometimes their photography is too good and things end up looking bigger than they are when you get them......not exactly a misrepresentation if they flat out gave you measurements. I am about to order this bracelet today: http://www.etsy.com/listing/29164537/wide-twist-cuff but sent questions to the seller about my own measurements and what he thought would work best. I have never ordered from him before so I don't know how it will turn out but his feedback looks good. You just have to be willing to visualize what they can do for you but in return you get a custom made piece at a good price. I LOVE etsy.

Wow - love that bracelet - thanks - I added this seller to my favorites! I've gotten some great recommendations on Etsy like this - someone posts a piece they've ordered, and I then look at the seller's other pieces and voila!

What a great site. I love it! There is so much though and you have to find your way in the midst of beautiful things. How nice to hear some tpf advice on nice sites and lovely goodies!

I love that site too after a poster informed us as to how she found a replica of a necklace she wanted.

My problem with the site is that there is too much on there and I don't want to search through 300 pages to find a 'delicate gold necklace' or whatever it is I type in.
