espadrilles questions

Hi ladies,
I'm currently looking at purchasing the white marmont style espadrilles or maybe the Chanel ones but I've never had any before so have a few questions.

We are coming into summer here in Australia and I wear a lot of casual summer dresses, will espadrilles in general pair ok with those? I was looking on instagram and see them paired mostly with pants, jeans and shorts...

Secondly, how is the comfort for them? This will be my first pair of designer shoes so not sure what to expect re comfort.

Does anyone know how the gucci ones compare to the Chanel espadrilles? They're about the same price, not sure which way to go!

And lastly, how do I keep them clean? Is it OK to spray apple garde on them or not recommended?

Hi! It really depends if you have more Gucci bags/accessories vs Chanel. I haven’t tried Marmont style, but Gucci Flora loafers were not that comfortable for me. I would recommend you try it on before you buy it. Even though I have more Gucci bags, I would go for Chanel espadrilles. I heard they are very comfortable.

I have Supreme Bee espadrilles and they were stiff at first and required some breaking in. Now they are great and I can wear them walking around NYC all day without any issues.

I love both but I will vote Chanel. It’s a classic timeless piece (not comfortable btw)...
I will get a Gucci espadrilles after I get the Chanel but def not before
