I was in TJ Maxx yesterday and spotted the MK Erin in black. I picked it up and fell in love with the buttery soft leather. I didn't want to put it down but I felt the bag was a little ho-hum. It just seemed a little too plain to me. As I was about to give up, I turned the corner and saw her in Vanilla. :graucho:
I instantly liked it much better and picked her up to make sure it was the same super soft leather. (really, I love the leather so much I just want to cuddle up with it! lol)
I was a little on the fence but I picked her up anyway because I can always change my mind and return it but I knew that if I didn't make the purchase I would be regretting it.
This is my first vanilla bag and I think it's a great classic, spring color.
What do you guys think? Would you keep or return? Is it too plain or would you rock this bag?

I think it's absolutely gorgeous and have seen it IRL. I know what you mean at first glance about thinking it's plain but it is such a perfect bag that it doesn't need embellishment.

I hope you keep it - I think it's gorgeous and have the peanut embossed one on my wishlist.

As for the color being hard to clean - I'm not sure. I ha e one MK bag in vanilla but I haven't used it yet.

It's a very pretty bag-sometimes the simpler bags are the most attractive. The vanilla color is gorgeous and although I don't own any, I've read reviews that say MK's are low maintenance. I say keep it.

Wow I love it! I am a sucker for MKs vanilla bags! I have 2 and have no issues with color transfer whatsoever! A sales associate told me to be sure to pretreat before wearing and clean my vanilla bags 3x per year.

I used the MK brand rain and stain repellant that I bought from the outlet. The SA recommended it saying it was made especially for their leather and discouraged me from using other protectants. I needed some anyways so I just bought it and to date, I haven't had any issues with my vanilla Gansevoort which hits my jeans at the hip...I have also used Appleguarde products on other MK bags with good success.

Please keep it, and if you return it let me know, lol! It is absolutely beautiful, exactly what I had been waiting for TJ Maxx to get in! If you don't mind, how much did you pay? Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the vanilla leather, but I have heard good things, and I think it is sooo soft. I definitely vote for you to keep it, congrats!
