Entire GG Supreme panel replaced

I've always worried abt buying a GG Supreme fabric bag rather than a leather. Actually any fabric bag bc of holes, rips, etc. But today I watched a vid where an entire fabric panel was replaced. I didn't know this was an option! So thought I'd share this newfound knowledge with everyone. (maybe everyone already knows abt this?)

Thanks for sharing. This is new information at least for me. Many of us are familiar with the fact that LV doesn’t repair items with cracked canvas but maybe Gucci has different policy then.

My husband’s belt in supreme GG canvas got several bad looking cracks in maybe 6 months after the purchase. The belt was a souvenir from our holiday and we don’t have a Gucci store nearby. Maybe they could have repaired the belt (or replaced it) if we only would have been able to take it back to the store.

Great video, I have saw him did LV, Chanel repair etc.

Personally I wouldn't repair a bag so used, the cost of repair probably more than the bag worth. I had a bag repaired by LV but was able to resell the bag get all my money back and some that's what I usually decide whether to repair it or not.

Where would he get Gucci fabric from? Matching fabric? Seriously? That bag had had its day.

Once anyone but Gucci has worked on a bag Gucci will no longer repair the bag. Unless Gucci will not already work on the bag do not take it to anyone but Gucci.

I haven't had a Gucci bag repaired for 3 years. It was to repair the worn away stitching from a leather strap on a bag bought my my mother in the 1980s and had been worn most summers since then. I don't know how much time Gucci has for repairs since AM came to the helm but Gucci bags that can be repaired should be taken back to Gucci as a first port of call.

The video shows 'original fabric' i.e. not Supreme.

Canvas can't be repaired.

The back of canvas belts is leather so it should not have cracked, warrantee should still have applied.
